I'm a journalism student terrified of pigeons (damn those bloodthirsty flying rats) and in love with people who have a sense of humour. I divide my food into separate piles before eating it, which is probably one of the reasons people think I'm weird. Well, there is also that thing where I like to walk around my flat naked, but I assume not many people know about that.

I love writing and I know many authors have probably said this but... feedback means a lot. A LOT! If you've reviewed any fic of mine you know I always reply. Sometimes I even manage to be funny! Or creepy. I guess that depends on your point of view. ;)

The dynamics between all the characters are fun to watch. Sometimes it's difficult to write scenes with that many characters in them, but you wrote is SO well. Awesome with zero confusion as to who's saying/doing what. Also, great and very appropriate reference to Dr. Mengele. Can't wait to read more!! :)

Ooh, what a twist! Did they give Spike Mohra blood? Or is it just something temporary? Is he truly human or still a vamp?? I need to know. *pouts* I think Spike would hate to be human full-time, but I'm sure whatever direction you'll take, I'm going to love it. You never disappoint. :) Loved that bit with Riley and I felt really bad when he died. I do think he acted like a hero by sacrificing himself to help Buffy and others get out. Can't wait to see the evil cliffhanger resolved!!

Is it too immature that I grin like a loon every time I get an update notification for this fic? ;) Loved the chapter... so many emotions and as always, so well written. They only have each other and being close is the only solace they can find in a place where everything is upside down, where humans are monsters and monsters are victims. I bet someone watched and if they did I wonder how they can deny there's humanity in both Buffy and Spike. I'm already eager for more! :) You're awesome.

Aaah, you're breaking my heart. Poor Buffster. :( I wonder how they'll get out and just how much damage will be inflicted on either of them before they do. I'm kind of wondering that Riley might choose to do the right thing and help them, but who knows? Well, except for you of course. ;)

I'm always wigged out when Xander and Willow do naughty stuff together. lol They just don't have any chemistry, but maybe that's just me. :D I did not expect Giles staking Angel! What a twist. Really looking forward to more!!!

Author's Response: Oh, I hope I can unbreak your heart later! I hope the Xander/ Willow stuff wasn\'t unbelievable. I am writing Xander as more of a man in this version of the story. On the original series, he could come off as weirdly sexless sometimes, more than Willow ever did in her softer side of Sears outfits. The actor was actually very attractive in this season, but he was always mugging? Maybe? I don\'t know what the hell he was doing but he came off with all the sensuality of an Ewok or a broken toaster. Or a teenage boy. (Guess I\'m not that sort of pervert.) Anyway, in my version he\'s grown and should know better. Glad you liked the Giles staking Angel and that it was a surprise!

Love, love, LOVE the interaction between Buffy and Spike. Flows so well and leaves me both smiling and feeling sad. Also, I really love it when there are poems in a fic and fit well within the context, so I really enjoyed this. Hee... Buffy's poem about Spike's rock hard abs. :D Amazingness. Really looking forward to more!!

Hee... naughty Giles. ;) I have to admit I was rooting for Giles and Davinia to get it on, therefore I'm very pleased. I really like Dav, especially in this chapter... she's mature and has a character. It would be so easy to say yes to Xander but she stuck to her principles and self-respect even though she still has feelings for him. I don't see Xander as the bad guy either, he's just confused. But that's thanks to your lovely writing, you're always elaborate and I also love your imagery. :)

I even gave him several moments in the previous chapter and this one where he shone as a hero who would have died trying to save Spike because it\'s what Buffy wanted. Glad you liked the Giles/Dav sex. It was really not supposed to be that graphic, then I went nuts.

Ooh, the tension between Buffy and Spike is electric! Can't wait to see it snap. ;) And yay for the Andrew appearance and funny 'bi-thoroughly explored' comments. *gg* The canon mention of Spike and Angelus getting it is another big tease Joss gave us. I wish they would have at least shown us some snogging flash back. ;)

Hee... Andrew! Am I right to hope for some Spike/Andrew interaction? Because that would be amazing. *g* Also, since I'm a big fan of dream sequences, I truly enjoyed Spike's dream. It felt very vivid. And I don't know if I've mentioned it before or not, but I love the Spike voice in this story!

Xander jealous of Giles? Loved it. ;) It's so funny that they see Giles as this old man when in fact he's really not that old. Personally, I don't find him attractive, but he's got that kind of charisma that would draw women in. Btw, all that talk of delicious food makes me hungry! Damn you. :D

Hee... the dialogue between Spike and Giles reminded me of Interview with a Vampire, except much better. ;) I really loved that bit about Rosie. Spike's been out and about for over a century and that leaves so much opportunities to fill that time frame. All one needs is a great imagination like yours to create moments f Spike's life we didn't get to see in canon. LOVED IT!

The interactions between all the characters are so much fun to read. It's really great that you're not bashing any of them, especially Xander, who's usually made out to be a bad guy in many fics. Not my cup of tea, which is why this story is so awesome.

Xander was never a bad guy to me, he was just a teenage boy who was trying to negotiate adulthood. I hate it when he gets bashed. Got to say, really love the plot twist of both Buffy and Spike being captured! I also love that you didn't decide to have the Initiative put a chip in Spike's head. He's been already changing without one, and I've always thought they should have gone that way in canon as well. He didn't need the chip to change, he'd do it out of love because that's who Spike is. Ah well, good thing we have clever, awesome fanfic writers like you. ;) Really looking forward to more of this amazing story!

Aaaah, I want more!!! I had that tiniest bit of hope that they'd manage to escape, but I suspected you wouldn't make it that easy. ;) I'm SO curious to see what Spike and Buffy will do now, especially since they'll probably be separated.

I loved that you compared that scientist to Angelus. You know, I've always found Adam a bit lame, and wished they treated people running the Initiative as the real villain. It's much more interesting to explore humans that are capable of so much evil, and demons that are victims in the scenario. Love that you're doing that. :)

And also, awesome that you implement those bits of humour into what is otherwise an angsty situation. Can't wait to read more!!!

Author's Response: Thanks, I always thought Adam was a poorly executed villain, too, so I\'m hoping to tweak that in my story. Season four has so much great stuff, but then the Adam stuff comes so thoroughly out of left field. Thank you for the compliment, glad you found the humor, humorous. You know, I don't really enjoy reading POV from characters other than Buffy and Spike, but I really liked the Xander part. :) Kudos to you for writing so well! That bit with Spike was heartbreaking, but it was so awesome that Buffy gave him a chance to fight on her side.

I'm not too fond of Riley, but I really like that you're not making him into an evil guy. He's very in character and I wonder how long it takes before he stops blindly following orders and does the right thing instead. And Spike may have lied about the Council protecting Buffy, but we all know Scoobies will do everything in their power to find her. Btw, what a great touch on Buffy's hair being cut. It's so heartbreaking and in a way equally horrible as the physical pain they're causing her. I'm loving this complex story SO much!!!

You know, when you mentioned the 'blonde' in the beginning, I actually suspected you were talking about Harmony, not Buffy. But I sure as hell didn't expect the twist of her liking Forrest and Graham. I love it when you surprise me! And another great thing is that Buffy still cracks jokes even in the situation she's in... that's so like her. I'm sad that Xander broke up with Dev, and hoping they'll patch it up somehow.
