I'm torn. Cordy is so broken, not sure if she can come back. I want the PTB to intervene in the worst way.
AH that answers my other question too. I presume he was speaking gaelic then when he raped her.

Wow - I was very surprised by your response considering I thought my comments were very nice and also complimentary to your story even though there are some aspects I do not like. Hey, you can't please us all, right? As for the comment I made about Spike giving up. Go back and read my comment again. I was commenting on the fact that I don't think he should have bitten her - I thought he gave in to Buffy telling him to bite her too quickly. It had nothing to do with their physical positions. Anyway, I can tell you just want positive comments so this will be my last review, even if I have positive things to say. And by the way, I left you a lot of only positive reviews - you just chose to focus on the others. Good luck with everything!

Nia: I have a feeling your message about "not so positive reviews" may have been directed toward me. I want you to know that I do like your story - and your writing style. I guess I wouldn't still be reading this if I didn't, lol. No, I don't like the way Willow or Xander are being written (I don't particularly like Xander, I just think this story has him way out of character - I do love Willow, however, and it makes me sad to read her like this), but I do realize it is your story and I respect that. I guess I keep hoping you'll redeem them in a later chapter, but it seems they are getting farther and farther away from that, in my opinion. I guess I took it literally when you asked for reviews - good or bad. If you would prefer only to hear positive, then I will refrain from giving any negative feedback. My last review may have been put harshly - it was late, I was tired, and I apologize. If you don't want to hear it, I will shut up. My intent was just to voice my opinion, but not in a hostile or negative way. I'm sorry, but I do not have a way to leave an e-mail for just you when I review, and I choose to keep my e-mail address private. I welcome any public reply you choose to leave for me, though. I hope to see further updates as I am enjoying this story, despite any disagreements I may have about some of the characters. Buffy and Spike are still my faves, of course! :) Jackie

Author's Response: There's a reason why I wrote this, and used the two core scoobies as "bad guys". I'm sorry that you think I don't like Willow and that you believe that's why I chose her to be Dark!Willow. I don't dislike Willow -- not nearly as much as I dislike some of the other characters and although I stated I didn't like Xander, that's not entirely the truth. Redemption doesn't always come overnight, but sometimes, if you are granted enough grace, you can achieve it. I don't mind constructive criticism, in fact I welcome it. However, the majority of your reviews have not been constructive. They've been sort of a diatribe. If you want to rail and me and get into the in-depth reasons why I chose to portray some of these characters the way I did, feel free to email me. My email address is part of my author's profile, and while I may not get back to you in 24 hours, I do respond. Ask around. I'm going to give a general comment to some of your reviews. In one of the chapters of Origins, you pointed out that Spike gave up too quickly when Buffy said he couldn't bite her from that position. Well, go back and read that again, because he physically couldn't. They were back to back at that moment, and as dextrous as our vampire is, he cannot physically bite someone when he's facing away. No one can. I spent numerous hours watching the series from beginning to end, pretty much in one marathon session -- and the reasons for that are well, daytime tv sucks and I was stuck home with a dislocated shoulder. As for my comments in my author's notes -- they are my opinions. Feel free to differ with them, but don't attack me for having them. Everyone's allowed their opinions and placing a judgment on them constitutes, in a way, a personal attack. I don't expect everyone to like everything I've written or the way I've portrayed the characters, what I do ask is that you respect my opinions and the other people posting their reviews and, in addtion, the webmistress of this site. If you have a problem with me, or with anything I've written at any time, I urge you to check my author's profile and email me, rather than use this space. I've asked it before and I will ask it again, if the situation arises. I didn't intend for my response to be this lengthy, but I urge you to continue reading. . . . like I said earlier, redemption isn't always a given, but with grace and love and forgiveness, perhaps it can be achieved.

I haven't lost interest! I'm in love with this story as much as I was with the first one. I loved it when Spike was looking around trying to figure out who was watching them. I can't wait to see what happens next!

The last chapter was intense - I think we all had a suspicion that Cordelia was taken by Angelus and raped...I think for some they probably wanted to deny it. After all, on the show they had a great love. Hell, even I cried when Angel picked up the phone and heard that Cordy died (and I was never a fan of the couple). This story is such a different take. No one has really explored Angel's dark side - the show only really scratched the surface. Here you have Angelus raping Cordelia. Raping Cordelia! My God - what happens to Angel when he is resouled (assuming you go that route). Can you imagine the absolute anguish? Or maybe...maybe he won't have any anguish at all and will chalk it up to another person he has to repent for. I think it adds such depth to the story. I know that when I read those words...I am on pins and needles. I truly feel Cordy's dispair. I only hope that Wes or Gunn finds her in time to save her. As for Spike and Buffy in domestic bliss...I think it's wonderful! I know it can't stay this way forever, but I always root for these two. Now that Buffy is...showing signs of being pregnant it can only add a whole new dimmension to this story. Can I also say...that the Oz/Tara pairing is wonderful! I for one want to see them together as more than just friends because you've set such a wonderful foundation for them. Call me a romantic. I know that Tara has always been portrayed as singularly gay - but my ol' romantic heart would love to see them as more. :) Congrats on the awards! I have followed this story since the beginning and find that you are an amazingly talented author. Don't let some naysayers sway you. :)

I haven't lost interest. and I am enjoying the story. I hope you get better soon and take good care of yourself. One thing I would like to see more of is interaction between Buffy, Spike and Dawn as parents and child. If they are going to have another baby, I would like them to firmly establish their bonds as family, a 'real' family.

If I remember correct, it's your choice to disable anonymous comments.. Glad you could update! What I never thought was that Oz wouldn't hurt Tara whilst being unconscious. And Buffy *smile* she had her first encounter with morning sickness. Willow? I fear what she has in mind. Can't be good what she's planning. And Buffy's objections at the end of the chapter A bit fluffyness to read. The thing with Cordelia is hard enough. Hopeful she'll get her out.

The description of Cordelia's imprisonment made my stomach turn. Wes and Spike will hopefully come up with a plan quickly. I laughed at how freaked out Buffy got over Connor staring. Thanks for clarifying Oz and Tara's relationship.

I am enjoying the story very much. I appreciate your continuing to write it despite your health problems. I do read each chapter as soon as you post. Don't worry about "losing" readers. I believe a lot of people slow down on both reading and writing fanfiction during the summer. I can tell you from the reader side that there is less new material available for sure. Your readers will catch up later. You are a good writer, so they will come back

Great chapter! Loved the scene with Buffy, Spike and Connor in bed. So funny...
Your description of Tara and Oz's relationship is very sweet and believable. I can really see those two as best friends and love the way you keep developing the situation.
Can't wait to see what they are going to do about Cordy. I wonder if she'll be herself should they manage to rescue her or if Angelus will have a second seer's sanity on his considence. As much as I despise him in both of his forms, I wonder if it wouldn't be worse for him to be souled up again and had to live with what he did. Looking forward to see where you are going with that...
Great job you did so far, looking forward to the next chapter.

I like this. I like that you keep the story balanced. Yes, there's lots of Spuffy, but those scenes are balanced with the bloody, violative Vampiric action and the undercurrent of dark mystical threat from an out of control Willow. All of that combined stops this from becoming saccharine sweet. If that's what some readers want, go buy Mills & Boon. I love the way you put threats and complexity in the path of Spike, Buffy and the gang. I love the way you've integrated the Sunnydale and LA crews, and all praise to you that you've done that on both sides of the good/evil spectrum. In doing so, you've kept Revelations from becoming a mediocre tale and ensure it's place as a gripping, paced and provokative saga. Keep up the great work. Chrissie ccoomb@yahoo.co.uk

you're doing just fine - and that is an understatement. You have kept up emotional strengths of the first Origins and the impending Willow and (especially) Angelus interventions highlight the light and dark of life in Revello. The Tara/Oz connection is inspired. Write on!

Take care of your arm. While I'm loving this story with each new installment truly your own health is more important. As for the story I'm just waiting for Willow to get a reality smack and wondering who or what is going to do it. So glad that Buffy finally said the 3 words. Well done chapter. Just remember a physical ailment is a much better reason not to write over lack of concentration/writer's block (I'm suffering from that..) :o)

This might sound strange... I like how all the other characters are in total chaos and Spuffy aren't. You don't see that in a lot of stories. They're pretty comfortable with their relationship and everyone else gets the angst. I love it [cue evil laughter] Though I hope I didn't just jinx things cause I don't know what you have planned. The little family that Spike, Buffy, and Connor have formed is heart warming. I think it's great how Buff's motherly instincts just took over. Will we be seeing any mother-father-daughter moments between Buffy, Dawn, and Spike? Liked the funny with Buffy trying to get Spike off so she could pee/vomit and then freaking over Connor watching them. thanks for the new chapter
