I loved that Spike showed up in the dream. This chapter was great. Can't wait for more! :)

I know it was only a dream, but it was nice to finally get a glimpse of Spike in this story. And the way he was with Buffy was so strange to her, but completely what we're used to from later seasons. I loved that. I know it was uncomfortable for Buffy, but seeing Spike be gentle with her, even in a dream, was nice.

And I like the backstory you've given William; he's searched for true love and passion his whole life and has just never found it. It's very sweet and suits him perfecctly.

Author's Response: I've definitely missed Spike in this story too! It was fun to have him pop up, even so briefly. I'm glad you enjoyed the William back story, without the Dru element I think that's how human William would have ended up...struggling to find "true love". Thanks for the feedback, PrettyPoppy!

The quiet evening in was lovely, and it gave these two a breather to think things over. Their feelings for one another are obvious, but there's still the age difference and the alternate reality to consider.

Buffy's dream gave me pause. Was it a slayer dream, signaling her return to the other reality, or permission to stay in this reality? The shock of waking up after losing dream William and Spike pushed Buffy to just grab what she wants. It was a delightful surprise that William didn't bother to argue this time.

I'm looking forward to the next chapter in this entertaining story.

Author's Response: Thank you for the great feedback, Brunettepet! That dream will confuse Buffy, there's two very opposite and very clear interpretations. So there's not a lot of help there with her decision, but she does know what she wants right now, and that's William. So glad you're reading!

Aww what an up and down chapter. Facing what tomorrow? OMG what does that mean? *starts to panic then relaxes* I can be patient I know I will just have to wait. Still worried about vamp Willow, Giles and Xander n what they are up to.

Loved the update, and while I'm all 'yay! smut', I read every chapter with a sense of dread for what's to be for these characters. Huh. Go figure. Plot driving my desire for more story.
