Even in the midst of the painful slayer dream, this perfect Buffy response made me laugh out loud “You are a frustrating little chit, aren’t you?”

“Don’t insult me in British!”

The melding of the two sets of memories opened a window into the events of this universe. Angel's angry response to the love spell made me think he'd harbored a crush on Buffy before they mystically did the deed. It's no wonder he's so testy with her now. It's like he's taken Xander's role. Buffy having to stake Joyce was devastating. She's had as much loss and heartache in this world as in her own. She's been given the choice between a rock and a hard place.

Poor Buffy! Talk about being caught between a rock and a hard place! (and no, I'm not referring to having William in bed with her ;-))

Slayer dreams have always confounded me. I fear I'm no good with the symbolism either, but can see that she's in some type of limbo between the two worlds. And obviously will have to choose which one to cleave to.

ooh! I'm all caught up now. Vampire Giles was pretty scary. And poor William trying to sort out his/ not his Buffy.

Buffy's dream was a bit confusing first till I saw the pattern.
Sounds as if both worlds will continue to exist, Buffy's old one or her new one. She has to decide then... big offer for her.
But a very hard decision. The new world isn't perfect either.

Ah... she has to choose! Now I couldn't say for the world which dimension she would choose. But William is yummy here.. and I really like the difference in the persons you created.

Oh... and I'm pretty proud of myself... I moved all my stuff on one day and could find working internet on the same day :).

Wonderful - I felt as confused as Buffy with the flashes from one reality to the other. Both realities having such harsh happenings - I mean - either a lover who treats you like crap after your first time or dusting your mother! I really wonder who was telling her to choose... and what will she choose - its a braintwister. Still loving it all!

Oh, that was wonderfully done. Such a jumble of memories - poor Buffy! :( Which will she choose? (I have my theories!) Who was it telling Buffy what she needs to do? Whatever will become of the other Buffy - and Spike? Lovely chapter.
