This chapter is simply perfect! Time away from each other is the right course for them. Time to forget and heal wounds and evaluate their true feelings. Im glad that Buffy is not the slut anymore. She doesnt look desperatly for a man. now who could satisfiy her in bed but instead is being loyal to Spike and carrying the torch of her love for Spike. I think its time now for them to meet again on new grounds different terms. So looking forward to a happy ending for both of them.

Sorry I have been so silent recently, but reading other reviews and your author's notes, I thought it would be best to wait out the angst. As I have said in other reviews, I love Spike and I am definitely Spuffy and refuse to read any other pairing involving those two, but ultimately Buffy is who I love the most and who I identify with. She said some things to him in earlier chapters that were awful (throwing up his prostitution to him, but not taking responsibility for hiring a prostitute), but he was not forth coming with her about anything, so asking for blind trust from someone who finds it hard to trust, not very smart...The things he said to her though to some extent were unforgivable. He targeted specific areas that he knew would hurt her the most and kept digging the knife in until she left. I guess my point in this is that, while I am so ready for the Spuffy loving to start again, I think that William needs to realize completely how deeply that he has hurt Buffy and how he has contributed to her insecurities about herself before they fall back together. It is your story and I love your work, but for me, it needs some closure to the pain before the happiness can begin. That being said, I am so glad that you are back. I have very much missed your special brand of Spuffy and I am soooo jonesing for ITAN. I hope all went well with your move and I am glad you had such a great time seeing James and all the other writers. I remain, your faithful fan...Tara

Author's Response: That's okay sweety, I understand, I'm just glad you reviewed and also raised some good points. I think the thing to remember is that both have done and said some very awful and hurtful things to one another, however, as in RL like many couples, that doesn't mean you stop loving someone and if both people really want to work it out then it can be done with success. It's human to fuck-up like they have and given the unique circumstances, well, however unrealistic this story is, it was kinda bound to happen. Not to worry on the front of Spike being remorseful and trying to make things right with Buffy. He knows exactly what he did wrong and of course doesn't expect her to be okay with any one part of it. All in due course though. First step is to get them talking - which will bein next chappy. No way would I cheat readers by writing... 'and they lived happily ever after'. So not going to work in this fic, *giggles*. Having creative license to mold my characters, make them do really dumb thins and then try and get them back together is just part of the process of the spuffy universe as we know it, lol. I'll do my best of course to make it a satisfying & happy ending and get some of their issues resolved to hopefully every readers satisfaction. Okay, stop, I have to chuckle a bit here after typing that, because the truth is, no matter what I, or any other author here does, there really is no way to make every reader happy. There's a complex host of readers that come to this site, each with their own opinions and views and its like the saying goes, you can't please everyone all the time. But of course I'll try my best while trusting my muse at the same time. Oh yes, ITAN is not forgotten, it's just impossible for me right now to focus on more than 1 fic at a time. My plans for ITAN are for another long chappy just like all the rest - filled with smutty fun and laughter, a sort of epilogue. It's partially written, but TE has been a wip now for a little over a year and I felt the need to bring it to a close because with ITAN, their angst is over and they're a happy couple. Yup, all went well with the move, course I'm STILL unpakcing to some degree, ackk!!! I hate that most of all. Ah yes, *sighs* seeing James - so did wonders for the muse. I loved this chapter. I loved the statements, especially from Anya with the protection of her friends. And I love the way you write, but this you already know, don´t you? I loved the fact that William knows now that he is truly madly deeply in love with her and that he is going to be in love with her for the rest of his life. And now I hope that I can read the spuffy love in a few days and I hope that she will be not the stupid to deny the fact that she loves him the same way as he does.

I don't like Anya is this chapter. It has only been a few months. You don't get over somebody you were in love with over a few months. And how she wants to blame William for what happen with them. And it isn't Spike fault that Buffy hurt him. That he wasn't ready or didn't want to take her back.
