The ball's in Spike's court now and he is letting pride keep him from going to her. He is not at all blameless in what happened to get them to this point; however, he is pretending it's all Buffy's fault to protect his heart. I'd say that if he doesn't approach Buffy by the time she leaves for home, she should just forget about him. I think he has more issues than her.

Author's Response: It's good to see an opinion such as yours, because Buffy really isn't the only one to blame here. I had to lmao when you said she should forget about him cuz he's got more issues. Such is spuffy though, issues and conflict abound are what make a story. Thanks for the review darling. Smooches.

Go after her! So sad, I'm glad that he didn't drink himself into oblivion this time. Hopefully he gets to her before it is too late. Loved the update, it was amazing as always.

Author's Response: Lol, I'm sure a lot of people thought that very same thing... wanting Spike to run after her. I can tell you that this is where Spike stops drinking - no more drunken binges. The day's events have finally woken him up. As for how long it takes him to realize he wants her back, well, I'm working that one out. Thanks so much for the lovely review hon. Hugs.

Yes, I'm so glad that you have at least Giles apologizing to Spike for inviting buffy over. Cause they were so wrong in doing that. I know that I would be pissed if I went to my childhood home to get some space and clear my head. Only to have my parents or uncle/aunt invite that person that i needed space from without even asking me.

I must say that I kind of glad that spike didn't take buffy so easily. don't get me wrong i want my happy spuffy. But when someones hurts you like that. You shouldn't just take them back without knowing if you are able to trust them again. cause trust is something you need to have in order to be in a relationship. So, I could tell that Spike wanted to take her back but how he is able to trust her again. I have been in that situation. You want to take them back but the trust isn't there. So, what to do. Maybe start with being friends and working you way back into the relationship.

That being said. I hope that it doesn't take that long in this story. LOL I want to see some Spuffy love soon.

sorry, i wrote too much.

Author's Response: You don't have to apologize for writing too much, it's nice to see a long review and get your personal thoughts on it... they feed my muse. As for the spuffy luvin, no worries there, it won't take that long (I don't think I could handle writing another chapter like this, lol). Some things needed to happen in here to help set up for when they finally get back together. Glad to see you enjoyed Rupert's part he played in apologizing. And of course Spike wasn't ready to to trust Buffy, or himself for that matter just yet. Thanks for the review darling, spuffy luvin is around the corner now, *winks*.

I know I'm repeating myself, but this chapter was so heartbreakingly beautiful, you made me feel so bad for the two of them. Spike's ambivalence was masterfully described with the whisky analogy and I loved, loved, LOVED the last scene. The imagery gave me chills, it was so powerful. Looking forward to more, darling.

Author's Response: Aww, sweety. I know you appreciate it b/c you were right there with me, keeping me straight. Thank you so much for all the wonderful help my friend. Kisses

Don't worry about the angst. Yes, it is depressing, but this kind of serious emotional turmoil can only be solved withb time and understanding. If they both magically started being happy again, it simply wouldn't be realistic. So keep it up! Yay!*

Author's Response: Awwww, thank you sweety, I appreciate that you understand the need for it. It would be pretty boring if they just suddenly got together. Thanks again darling, smoochies.

Gaaaaaah *beats on Spike's head with a mallet*

Author's Response: Here... take my hammer, it'll cause more damage, LMAO. THanks for the review sweety.

The iPod method works-- totally. OH MY GOD intense. SO so intense. But it's been amazing, I'm just aching for William to trust Buffy (and himself!!!!) enough to do what he knows is best for them both. Oh wow. Fantastic. Loving. Looking forward to more, hella!

Author's Response: Doesn't it though? Sometimes I don't need to listen to music, but in cases like this - totally necessary. I'm so glad you liked the chapter sweety, despite how much of an ass Spike is right now. No worries, he'll realize what he's done, all in good time. Thanks for the review. Hugs.
