Who cares if it's not the most original, it's all in how you work it. And you worked it great! I'm so unbelievably glad he told her that he couldn't pretend. I think it was important not only for her to hear that, but also for him to admit it outloud.

I am not disappointed whatsoever! I get so frustrated with people who can't handle a little angst. The angst is what makes the reunions, the love, all the more better. Who wants a story where it's easy going from start to finish, it would be boring and predictable. When the characters have to overcome hardships, it's all the more sweeter. I loved this chapter and I loved the ending. It was perfect that he couldn't go on further because he was afraid of getting his heart caught up any further, absolutely perfect. I think this will also show her that she means more to him than just a job and that's what she needs. Simply awesome! Can't wait for more!

Back to the story, I keep on loving their inner talks, they're hilarious! And of course, the interaction between them as feelings keep up growing and they realize that whatever it is, it's deeper than they ever imagined. Wonderful character development, I just can't wait for the aftermath of William leaving after such a statement.
