Such a mean, evil place to leave off! This is a great story, a new spin on the relationship. I love how posessive Spike is over Buffy and I don't even think he realizes it yet! Can't wait to see where all you go with this story!

Uh Ohhhhhh! Where's Buffy? And a cop car? Hmmmm.... One thing I've noticed about this Buffy, she's very naive. With all her Slayer training and brainwashing, you'd think she'd be a little suspiscious of Spike. He still is technically evil even though he rescued her from the Master. I wonder what's going to happen when reality hits Buffy in the head like a sledgehammer. Will she eventually catch on that Spike's been misleadingly going without blood for days? Will she finally start to grow a backbone? Will we ever see the rebellious, spitfire, don't take no crap from nobody Buffy we all know is hiding beneath the good Slayer exterior? Please update soon.

Author's Response: Glad you like it. Buffy's deffinitly in for a harsh reality check sooner or later. Also some of her reasons for sticking with Spike will beocme apparent in the next few chapters.

Excellent update. I love this tale, it's kinda primal (this part anyway) with Buffy being so "slayerish" and not much of Buffy at all and Spike being kinda cold and calculating (typical vamp) but yet still little instances of something close to compassion or caring. Very nicely done so far - look forward to more.

Author's Response: Glad you like it. I'm deffinatly trying to keep Spike as a vampire in this, but also keep the caring side we all like about him. It's fun haveing him be conflicted. As for Buffy, it's been great figuring out what made her the no nonsense Slayer we saw in The Wish.

First - Spike is a typical male - letting Buffy do all the cleaning. Second - poor fate this slayer has. Taken (or given I wonder what was the case?) to a watcher, no fun, only lectures what a slayer has to do. Love to see them getting along... doing make up. Mmmm pretty bad Spike mmmm. But Buffy was a bit of a rebell - even only with small things like the earrings.

Author's Response: Yeah, I couldn't imagine a Buffy that didn't have a least a little rebelious streak, whatever her upbringing was. It's funny, I wasn't thinking so much of Spike as the typical male, but as the Victoria Gentleman whose had people wait on him all his life. But yeah, deffinatly male too.

Your Spike is the way I would envision him at the peak of his powers - strong, self confident, clever, driven to succeed and dominating; manipulative and willing to do what it takes to get what he wants. He's also quite confused by his impulses regarding the Slayer. I find it interesting that in all of this his caretaking instincts continue to kick in at the most surprising times. He also demonstrates the advantages of his greater age and experience - something we never fully saw in the show. Your Spike is intriguing and I'm really glad you are writing this. Looking forward to more!
