I like the rhythm and pacing of the story...that it unfolds as it needs to without dragging the plot out too long. I think the story is wonderfully detailed and that your characters are fully developed personality-wise and emotionally. You've really expanded on S6/3 in a way the ME couldn't (for time) or were interested in doing. Regarding the latest developement with Spike's injuries, Angelus and the like...this is playing out in such a believable manner. I can't wait for all the clues you've been dropping and greater plans that have been hinted at to be revealed...one of my favorite parts of the story. My main critique is primarily with Buffy and in some regard Buffy and Spike. I love the respect and equality that you've given to the relationship. In a way you've brought them to the place ME did in S7, but earlier and in just as a believable manner. However, and it may come off as a bit surprising that I'm saying this, I think that there have been a few too many love scenes. I feel like every time they have a scene together it leads to sex. I understand the purpose of the all the connecting physically to their relationship and to Buffy's state of mind, but it would be great if something more could occure between them as well. As for Buffy, I love that you played up her vulnerability and the after affectives of the resurrection more b/c I don't feel the consequences were actually grave enough on the show despite the darkness of S6. Nonetheless, inspite of how Buffy would still be suffering and recovering from such a tramatic experience at this point, I feel like you may have taken her vulnerability and dependency on Spike a little too far. (Again, this is my own opinion and view of the characters...obviously you may have very different views and very specific intentions for this story.) I just can't see Buffy quite this emotionally unhinged. She's always walled herself in emotionally and while I love that you have taken some of those walls away, there are times when it feels, again, too much. Of couse, I'm not writing this and I also don't have an aswer as too what wouldn't be too much, but that is just how I am reaction to her. That said, I still think it is a great portrayal of Buffy and I do think you have a lot of her characterization down and I can't wait for more. Is this enough of a review? lol Great work!! buffy's running dialoge to spike was wonderful. to hear and see her emotional termoil was sooo real and raw. i am soooo glad that was gunn and fred....yicks, that freeked me out!!! what a rock tara is. she takes control of that household like nobodys buisness. her thinking she has to stay strong for buffy was.......what a woman, friend. sooooo, spike can speak to her in her head? good, b/c she needed him. shes stronger than she was but glad to know spike could reach her like that. great slayer dream, and seeing angelus...ugh....another freek out...i sooo can't wait for the next chapter.....BRAVO nia....BRAVO

Puts the oxygen tank on full force here. That was so incredible. I realize there were lots of paths here in this chapter,but the brunt of it was spike and buffy. Nia is was heart breaking, beautiful love, tenderness, caring, etc..Buffy slicing her wrist to feed him to comfort him as he did her. To take care of him with out worrying about anything else. The bond they share and him talking to her in the shower still giving her that bit of strenght she needed to get up. Gods, oh fuckn amazing. Reading this you could feel the emotions rip through them both. The hot water steaming over buffy, the tears she was shedding. Feeling her strengthen as she heard his voice. Her dream oh this is going to go really bad, things are going to go so out of control. Buffy is going to have to really be strong and spike is going to need to heal. Angel standing there with blood on his hands..UGHHHH Nia that gives me the hebe jeebies...chills...shivers, YUCK....i am nervous, scared and waiting so patiently for what is to come. thanks for posting this tonight. Excellent chapter beautifully written.

You did a good job conveying Buffy and Wesley's anxiety throughout this chapter. Their quiet, nerve jangling journeys toward safety were well executed. I like the premise that there are some Sunnydale doctors in the know, and I loved that one of them was Oz' aunt! His aside that it was her son that bit him made me grin. Little details like that flesh the story out. Nice job.
