Angelus "singing very badly." Heh. I liked Buffy thinking of all of Xander's lies. In grabbing Anya, Xander, here, is the man shown at the end of his vision in "Hell's Bells." It's a good exploration and characterization of the worst aspects of canon Xander. I'm glad Anya and the others are realizing the awfulness of his behavior towards her rather than accepting it, as they did on the show. Nice S/B. :)

I think Xander is an ass. He just won't let go of this demon notion will he? And Anya...as annoying as she is she has this innocent quality about her. With angelus coming they all need to be on their toes. Casey's comment about being a boyfriend now that was sweet. :) GReat update!

I'm very glad that you didn't scrap this chapter. I think that you covered a lot of important ground. You clarified Buffy's feelings and gave us a lot of fun StonedSpike. You gave us the possibility of throwing Drusilla into the mix - definitely upping the potential for crazy nastiness. You gave us a nice explanation of Dawn's current feelings toward Spike. And last, but definitely not least you gave us Anya being Anya, who I like; and Xander being Xander, who I loath. You do a really great loathsome Xander. Excellent chapter as always. this is progressing so well. You flow like a mountain stream with steadiness at some points and rapids at others. You give it all balance.

Where do I start. I have just read the first book, the in between, and now what you have so far, and I LOVE IT SO MUCH!!!!!!!!! I am totaly hooked. I so wish this is how the show really went, cause i have to say I am loving all the spuffy going on. The fact that Joss never went into to much detail as to how Dawn came about used to really bug me, but now when you bring the whole Spike/Buffy thng up that would have been perfect.
