Man, is it going to get bad with Dru. This does not look good for our happy couple. Loved the scene in the grocery store. That was very sweet. The phone call to Cordy, I got goosebumps. Great chapter!!

Uh oh...Dru...this could be bad. Love the scene in the grocery store. Cute little bit of domesticness. Like how you're developing the Dawn plot, too, with having Giles read the journals and the little interchange with Buffy and Dawn over Connor. The scene with Cordy and the cellphone was way creepy. Gave me little chills. Yet another great chapter!

I'm still reading!! I really like that Darla was a potential. That's cool. But, I do have one (or more) questions? Evidently Dawn has no superpowers, like increased strength. Her and Connor were both derived via the same means (Vampire/Slayer [sorta]). So is Connor going to be superpowerless or will Dawn develop some or...? gah!

forgot about what this might mean for dawn too. love spike being the conserned father and taking care of his niblet. lol at giles expecting the worst for bring up the removal of the chip. buffy and spike had a good laugh and needed it. :) that was a really funny phone call from angelus. poor guy didn't accomplish what he wanted. can't shake em all up like he did with willow. loveed this chapter and can't wait for the next one

hehehhe....skirt girl......yeaaaaa...giles is back. i missed the g-man. its nice ot see some normalcy in the summers' house......dawn with hte phone attached to her head etc.....well, miss willows got a plan...we all know how well those go....oh yeaaaa dru is coming!!!!! wiked job on dru nia....haven't seen anyone who writes her as well as you. holy crap batman......what a revelation giles told. loved the names of the others....*wink,wink* TY soooo darla was a potential.....what is it about those aurelian men??? angelus got willow good. he is sooo good at that. i must say i love angelus. angel i could stake on site but angelus.......i just love him. great chapter. full of wonderful stuff!!! oh and by the way....i think buffy is pregnant already. :)

I just finished chap 20. I like how the story is progressing. Looking forward to the rest. I was a little confused though because it seemed like you listed the potentials death in the other chapter but then listed the birth of their children after the date of death. Maybe I will reread and see if I missinterpreted.
Author's Response: I did list them that way, because that was the order of occurence. The girls were potentials who each had a relationship with a master vampire of the Aurelius line; of which Spike is also a master. The potentials died, for various reasons, of various causes. Their lovers, all master vampires, brought them back from death -- by mystical means. The girls, now resurrected potentials, all got pregnant after they were returned from death. Only Angel and Spike had no hand in the resurrection of their lovers (Darla and Buffy). Angel didn't know it could be done successfully -- and Spike wouldn't have hurt Buffy that way; nor was he Buffy's lover prior to her jump to save Dawn and the world.

That wasn't short - it got the job done moving the story along. Angel making crank calls is funny, and I liked Wesley's flip replies. His relaxed attitude was perfect on the heels of Spike and Buffy's response to Giles' pronouncement about the chip. Angel and Willow are feeling miffed, and the gang is forming a plan to remove the chip. Nice job.

Oh ye of little faith!! How could you think we'd abandon this AMAZING story? I check for updates everyday:) I'm sorry you reinjured your shoulder. Take all the time you need to post--we'll still here. This chapter was awesome! The exchanges between all of the characters, especiallly in a group setting, are so believable and well-written. I can actually see it occuring in my mind. Angelus should get a part time gig on Crank Yankers or maybe you can set him up with the Sunnydale phone book so he can make equally ridiculous calls to the town's residents as well. What a tool! I love Wesley's reaction. I can't wait to see how everyone takes the news of Dawn's origin. Take care of yourself!
