Hi Nia. I've been reading your stories for ages, but this is my first time reviewing. (I know...me bad girl! You can punish me as much as you want.) I just want to say how much I love your story and I look for an update practically every day, even though realistically I know it takes a few days. Anyway, the whole Origins series is one of my absolute favorite stories. I just wanted to let you know. And I promise to review from now on. :)

Just lovely....

I go away for a bit and so much has gone on in this story. The Anya/Giles interludes are delightful. Anya being maternal with Connor was a surprise, but you've written her with depth and compassion. Spike and Buffy are wonderful to read, and the scene with Dru was very nice. The insecurity that meeting raised with Buffy was well realised, and it pushed the story forward seamlessly.

Fabulous chappie so pleased for Giles and Anya, can't wait for the fallout. Spike was adorable love it.

Anyway, great chapter! Love that you found a middle-way with Dru there. By simply ignoring her as soon as Buffy arrived Spike made it nice and clear just who he cares about. And while it's always a great way to demonstrate ones feelings if the kill their formers; it somehow cheapens the whole thing as well. Killing an ex just to proove your feelings (like Spike planned in "Crush") doesn't exactly make you look good. It's different if it's for protection, but not to proove something.
Sweet scene with Giles and Anya. I really like those two, hope they won't have it too hard. Anya so deserves someone who doesn't treat her like all that matters is that she looks good on his arm - and that's the feeling I've been getting from Xander; like she's some sort of prestige-girlfriend - supposed to look nice and keep quiet.
