The memory loss seems to be sufficient to confuse them all but not enough to make them completely unaware of all that has gone before; the awful realisation that Angel is now Angelus, however, is a big shock which adds to the tragic plight of Dawn and even has Buffy questioning whether once again she stripped him of his soul. The spell's effect has made them all stop - stop and consider each other in an almost analytical light, but with the underlying knowledge that they are definitely not the same people from four months ago. The spell still blocks out the cause of four months' worth of life, but it cannot conceal the effects that have evolved since the return of Buffy. Willow has failed in that Buffy has not rejected Spike, but rather she has remained close to him through sheer instinct; even the others do not consider him as the platinum pest of old. Willow has also stripped them of their caution towards Angel and as a result, there is death, tears and no going back. She won't be able to make a batch of cookies as penance for this spell, when the veil is finally lifted.

Great story, so many layers, so much going on. Great.

this was a great chapter, getting to know kirsten a little more is nice, and as always, the buffy/spike interaction si spot on. thanks for working on this even when you're not 100% well. Hope you start feeling less sore soon, but don't push yourself for our sakes - we can wait, just you get better.

They are so close to the root of the problem. I am just glad that they are all together excluding Oz. Tara knows something is up but no one can put their finger on it. Kristen is in a world of trouble when she comes clean...

Hmm well interesting, will be fun to see how you work the mystery girls story into this. I'm also curious about the hunter and his dogs and when they will make their move. Nice chapter though and I'm curious as to when they will start to puzzle the thing toghether completly. Should also be interesting to see what Willow will do once she finds out that she caused the death of Dawns boyfriend, will she still be in denial and say it's for the best? Many questions I have and can't wait for the next chapter.

This was fabulous!!! I loved it!!! The little crumbs thrown here and there just pull me in some more, and I'm wondering who Kirsten is every time I read a new chapter. So glad that Tara has come in and to see at which point everyone has 'lost' their memories. I'm eagerly awaiting the time when Willow realizes what she's done and everyone's reactions to what she's done. Wonderful job!!!

OMG. I am waiting with baited breath for the other shoe to drop. What is going to happen when they discover Willow is the cause of all this, of Casey being killed, Dawn being injured. This is really getting good.

very good, filling in lots of holes that i was wondering about, just waiting for when they figure out who cast the spell and why...and then uh oh! lol

Such emotions running high and running fast. So many questions, so few answers to what is happening. Kirsten coming from afar to help out and try not to get caught...LOL yeah I think she is wicked busted. I think the rest of the gang are on to something too. Please please let one of them have an "lightbulb" to what has happened and to who did the bidding. Come hounds come let you feast upon the one who made this so, have a nice snack.
