Oh my, now that's what I call a freaking awesome chapter!!! Thank you for giving such vivid descriptions of what Faith was seeing during her trance: scenery, the people, and the connection with Spike/Buffy. Gorgeous.

Oh, Spike.....don't blame him for trying to control his temper, and I'm very happy that both Buffy (although under a spell) and Kirsten knew well enough to not push him. Bravo!

That Dru/Lawson scene was disturbing, yet intriguing. I'm getting a feeling that Dru knows he's the weakness that could break apart whatever evil plot she and Angelus have....I'm hoping so, too.

Loved the ending!!! Seems Buffy and Giles might now realize, due to Faith's fainting, who might be the cause of the whole spell. All hell will break loose.

Wonderful, and I really can't wait for more!!!

Whoo, what a ride. For some reason it didn't occur to me that Willow was sleeping thru all this? What is the deal with Lawson? and Drusilla? That ought to be interesting.
This story is just fantastic. I love each and every chapter. You capture all the nuances of the characters and bring them to life.
Can't wait for more.
Hope you are doing better..

That was a really powerful chapter.

I've never read a trance scene like that before. I'm trying to find the right words to say that it was almost like being in a trance-like state alongside Faith. My eyes scanned the words in a slower, more deliberate way sort of mirroring Faith's movements... wierd mojo you worked there, pet.

Fascinating the way you have Faith describe what she 'sees' too. Makes it all unique to her, the black around Tara, the differing hues and depths on Giles and Wes, Buffy and Spike...

And then we get sucked out of the trance and thrust into Spikes growing rage and the pace hots back up... especially when he leaves the house and gets tailed by Mrs HellmouthHound. Interesting Spike can't sense her... Interesting little snippet of Dru and Lawson. Kind of taking a shine to Lawson. Angelus does seem to make charismatic Childer, doesn't he?

Great update, pet. Bet you exceed the 67 reviews for the last chapter!

Another lovely, lovely chapter. The words might be a struggle, but they really work well. Ya, Karyn's great isn't she? She's made all my banners for me!

This story is fantastic. I am literally on the edge of my seat. And right now, I really hate Willow for being so selfish and stupid ;-)

Please update soon.

i really enjoy ur story.. but to me.. the plot here is a bit predictable... saw it coming chappies ahead.. but other than that.. it rocks..

Author's Response: Its only predictable in that I laid those clues quite clearly, with regards to this character. I don't think this story is over-all predictable, but you're free to disagree. I write to please the muse and if the muse is happy, then I'm happy.

I honestly think that your writing off all the chapters is very good. I may need to look back over the story, but I don't recall any point where the story has a lull. You have crafted this all very nicely and I am enjoying the process. The only thing that I can say is that I think spike uses nicknames a little too much. While I understand that this is part of the character I think it might be a little over done. Either way I would read the story though because it is a plot that has not been done to death and that makes it all the more interesting.

Author's Response: Spike in canon very rarely used a person's given name; and usually with only a precious few. There's instances of if, yes, however, in this respect I've often let the muse control that aspect -- and since the muse hasn't been wrong yet, I'll trust that voice in my head.

So Buffy remembers that she did jump off the tower - but nothing more. I think doing the spell will be good. And Kirsten is talking now. Faith will do the spell - that's right: she wasn't there when the other spell was cast. Kirsten .. oh my - Dawn had to die and she saved her (when Spike is right)? I wonder if this will have consequences. Good chapter :)

WOW!!! Are you telling me that Dawn was not supposed to make it. Kristen is in big trouble now that daddy knows who she is. I hope Buffy can calm him down before he hurts her. I can't wait for Faith to get into her trance and let them know what is going on. Great update.

Spike's reaction to Kirsten's origins was well written and in character. So, Dawn wasn't supposed to survive Angelus' attack, how did that effect Kirsten's timeline? How is her interference changing the future? I'm looking forward to the aftermath of Faith's spell, too.
