you know I have debated that in my head as well and while I agree that s7 Buffy would have let spike do what he desired, prior s7 Buffy wouldn't have. The main reason being that she did whatever she wanted to and damn the consequences. But the question remains did she mean what she said in the cave...iow did she love him? If she loved him I don't think she would have let him die, if she was just saying that then maybe she would have. Just wanted to share my thouoghts on the issue...lol on the beginning
