*sigh* so she had to lie. It complicated things... Instead of being glad that she found him again he had to act this way *sigh* I hope Wiliam will hold on clutching at straws. He noticed that she lied ones before. He has to save her from herself...

why is Buffy lying? why did she make up a lie about being engaged? what's the point?

Author's Response: Because she panicked and thinks that by saying she's engaged, it'll make William back off. Sorry if that didn't come across Beth - I'm obviously not doing my job right if you didn't understand that.

i'm so happy how this story is developping!!!! although it breaks my heart...how people can love eachother so much and at the same time, read their body language so bad!!! they really are suffering needlessly it's a series of misconception and misinterpretations that adds to the angst...but at the same time it results in a fantastic outcome!! congratulations on your story, love it love it love it!!! hope you update soon thanx!! :)

wow. Buffy sure is a stupid idiot. I understand she panicked and still believes William's silence on that morning was a rejection, but I wasn't expecting her to outright lie. Ah, the web we weave when first we practice to deceive... Yep, this one is gonna come back and bite her in the butt. Loving everything about this story! Can't wait for more!

I just read through this whole story again from start to finish. There's just something about it that I completely love. Perhaps it's how blind they both are to what the other is actually thinking and feeling. Very originial and cool.
