I truly thought that Joyce could conduct herself a bit better than that..at least for Christmas dinner! Good for Buffy for trying..but even better for her that she let Joyce have it. At least Giles was using his brain, and could see what Spike and Buffy's relationship was about. Thanks for the update..Looking forward to more!

Ugh, and i thought MY mother was a bitch. I can't believe she'd be so closed-minded as to actually cast off her own daughter... great chapter. I'm glad Buffy & Spike are sticking to it no matter what... and that they have Giles and Dawn's support.

OK, I think its time for Joyce to be hit by a bus. Or better yet attached to the front of a cab. Anyone else who lives in NY will know what I'm talking about. NYC cab drivers will scare her straight! Wonderful chapter. I was so excited to see another update. The dinner scene before Joyce ruined it was lovely and after she showed up was well written. I felt the tension. Can't wait for more.

The dinner scene with Buffy and Joyce arguing was very intense and well written! I feel sorry that she cant see what everyone else is seeing... but oh well! Love this chapter!!!

First let me tell you that I simply adore this story, it is my favourite, along with The Attic (by Jennybean).

I want Buffy/Spike to go back home to NY though, I don't like them staying with the parents in Sunnydale.

Please try to update again soon.

Author's Response: They'll go back to NY soon. It's a holiday and they're visiting family...it's not permanent. Also, I'm establishing things here that are important to the story later on, so please, have patience and let me get the story where I need it to be at the pace I need to move. I just wanted you to know I just re-read the entire story, and it was so worth it !!! I really love this one, I especially liked it when Spike came to the rescue of Buffy with her mom. How ever many issues she has, she needs to get a grip, or she will push her family away, but I am sure you have that all under control. The Spuffiness is great, as usual, and Giles is, as he should be. I will be looking for updates, and just want to say...great job and thanks

That was fun :) Buffy tried to wake Spike and yet he wasn't really and later wasn't sure if he had dreamed :) And that I'm happy you were able to update it that's for sure. I wonder how Joyce will react later. When Buffy is right she won't be up yet. Take care!

Another tight chapter. Buffy's anxiety being under the same roof as her mother was a good catalyst for seeking comfort in sex. The lovemaking was languid and lovely and I laughed several times in their morning after conversation.
