Good insights, nice voicing. Liked the timing of the Spike lookalike. All in all, a very nice, deceptively understated look into life as a queen of denial.

Nice work on Buffys reaction to the news and how she thinks. It was just in the Spike comics we were told that she new, and not much about her reaction. A warning about the comics, there was a lot of things that felt wrong or didn't make sense (at least to me) in Buffy season 8, but I couldn't stop reading, season 9 seems a bit better so far.

Enjoyed this one-shot. You explained her detachment from the world really well. Just one suggestion, you should look into a beta. She/he would help with catching grammar/spelling errors that you miss. Thank you for sharing and looking forward to other stories from you.

Author's Response: Not bad advice. I think I will for my next one, this piece was written very spur-of-the-moment, and I wanted to test the fandom waters. I'm glad that you still enjoyed it!
