No wonder Billy was inconsolable and now that Buffy has seen what her son's nightmares are about, does it mean that perhaps this nightmare may be prophetic of past events? Enter the angst and the horror - who could have done this do Bess? Did she fail her Cruciamentum? Spike being a vampire, how has he not felt or heard of her being turned? Your muse is evil!

The roller coaster continues. Your muse rarely gives the Summers-Weckerly family a break. I think Billy's dream will require the assistance of Mom and Dad to deal with Bess. Great chapter as usual.

The rut and the rutting! Your muse sure knows how to put the "hard" in a hard days night. Hee, hee! Well, the nightmares are escalating with Billy - like Buffy's slayer dreams is this also the same for Billy? Anyhow, the lack of income is challenging on the family, I wonder if the blonde duo and the other slayer would consider opening up their own business. They serve and protect, so why not have something along that line of work. I can see them running a security agency not just for Willy's but "free-lance" for other's where they hire demon's and human's alike. Heck, why not an investigation service along with security like Angel's in LA. Buffy already took on work like that in this chapter, so not much of a stretch for her. Now that Buffy has a garden, does Spike still have his apron for getting dirty in? *The imagery is nice*. Do they have a swimming pool? If they do, a pool house would be rather nifty for those moments when they feel romantic and need to not be seen by neighbors. (With an intercom to the house to keep an ear on their kids of course). Your muse is sharpening his torture tools and waiting to spring the angst on his own timetable...eeekkkssss!!!!

Well, the money problems are gonna take a backseat to other, more pressing issues, but we will get back to them, for sure ... Never know what will happen with the mandrake patch or perhaps they can open a free-lance security company ... that's a good idea. And oh yes ... Spike deifnately still has both of those aprons! A pool would be neat ... they don't have one now ... maybe if they can get the money problem fixed, they can find a way to get one, tho ... that opens all sorts of yummy possiblities in my muses twisted mind! Very good you have a way with words. Spike and Buffy trying to work on their life puzzle, nice. I can't help but like Willy somewhat. He's sort of a slime, but an honest slime. Clem is really a good friend always ready to help. Buffy in just a raincoat and heels, very nice.

Tara and Giles Baby, nice. Billy seems to be dreaming about Bess, it will be interesting to see how much of my earlier thoughts thar will be right. It was just wonderful with Buffy reading love poems to make the plants grow better.

So sweet this chapter with romance, humor and the miracle of life blooming. Your muse is setting us up to knock us down! The dungeon dream sounds eerily like a premonition to the past and future. It reminds me of the fairytale of Hansel and Gretel but the witches in this story are good witches. A dream catcher would be good to have when the bad dreams come, only an enchanted one where Buffy and Spike can see the dream and soothe their children. Giles and the wiccans are proud parents and Anya is as blunt as ever. What evil lies in the heart of your muse, I'm sure we'll find out eventually, until then, thanks for the good times.

Now I feel sorry for Angel, Spike should have been nicer. Angel has done a lot of bad things to them but when something like this happen, it must be horrible for him. I'm not sure what Buffy thought was of with the diary but since she thought it was then it is. I guess we will find a vampire Bess then, mayby a captive of the council.

Author's Response: Hi Magnus! Yeah, Spike was a bit harsh. I think he's still ticked off with the whole problem he and Buffy had when she helped Angel after he escaped from the sea. Not sure Spike will ever be nice to Angel, regardless of the circumstances.

Wonderful family interaction. The children is growing up and they have to tell them things. Spikes story about where children come from was nice and the children asking about the Red Riding Hood game really made me smile. A nice beginning, so which horrors will you inflict upon these poor people now :)

I love the fact that Annie is growing up and turning their parenting on its ear. The speed bumps are so endearing. And if they do actually give the cat a bath, I want a full account! Also, I would love to be a fly on the wall for that conversation with Anya. :) Not sure I'd recommend an 11 year old spending too much time alone with her. Update soon!
