Lovely! It's practically perfect as is, but a second part, where we discover how and why Spike has returned (and what exactly he is now) would be interesting too. Of course, I'll be satisfied if you just decide to leave it as is; it's just that it raised some questions (as you no doubt intended!) Bravo!

Author's Response: maybe I will, I've been working on finishing up my old WIPs but this one came out of nowhere and I had to write it. Thank you for the suggestion and the awesome review :)
