Good that Angel called it off... somewhat. Not so much "face" lost. Now he can find his Mama double that wants the rich husband and the country club life.
Suprised by how quickly things changed for the spuffy better. enjoyed the update... and ready for their date.

Oh hell, I'm heartbroken on Spike's behalf. I knew Angel was still somehwere nearby when Buffy wouldn't let Spike in. Is it wrong of me to hope it will make Angel angry and suspicious enough to call off the wedding? Although I wish it would be Buffy calling it off even more. Can't wait for what's going to happen next!!!

Hopefully Angel won't kill Spike. Buffy needs to make a choice, and I don't like the idea of Buffy cheating, so Spike please. Can't wait for the update!

Spike is right - he won't be able to keep Buffy as a friend if he tells her. But is it worth the heartache not to tell and keep her? He doesn't have her anyway.

I always look forward to your stories being updated because you write some of the best and most intriguing Spuffy AU's, with all kinds of neat twists. This story is no exception, but I'm so disappointed with the way Spike ended up telling her of his feelings. Of course he would inadvertently pick the worst possible moment to tell her and then just blurt it out. This poor guy just can't catch a break.

And now it will mean more heartbreak for him -- and for Buffy too since this Angel doesn't seem to be a bad guy and she's bound to feel guilty even if she didn't do anything wrong. Looks like misery and heartbreak all around. I don't see this being resolved any time soon (or at least I hope it isn't, because this story would be a let down with an abrupt ending, and occasionally you do end your stories too quickly for my taste).

There's also way more Buffy and Angel being together than I normally like to see in a Spuffy fic, although I can understand why you made this choice. It really heightens the angst and the drama. Part of me can't help but wish, though, that Angel will act like a jealous ass over this and force Buffy to see that they are no longer suited. On the other hand that would just make Buffy feel bad, so maybe that wouldn't be good either. Maybe he'll be struck by lightning. I'm heartily sick of him and the fact that he is such a perpetual obstacle to Spuffy; I wish he were gone.

Any chance you will update "Fairytale Interrupted" soon? I love that story and it seemed as though it was heading in a happier direction before you put it on hiatus.

okay, that was a really stupid move on his part. i wanted him to tell her, but not like that. he should have made sure she was alone first, of course she won't choose him now. i like that buffy was at least starting to have doubts, but spike just probably ruined any chance he might have had. seeing as this is a spuffy story, i still have some hope.

It felt like someone was squeezing my heart when I was reading that last line. Poor Spike, he didn't even step over the line and he still ends up with the short end of the stick. I love how she went to talk to Tara who is the perfect person to provide her a different perspective. :-)

P.S. I hope one of them keeps the dog!
