I love this story but I think Dawn and the rest got off to lightly. I think that they should have got a more intense comeuppance. especially with the throwing out house episode. And don't get me started about Dawn not sympathy worthy.

covers all the bases; a perfect checklist for all character failings in the show, save for the spuffy attempted rape, which was a huge cheap stunt on the part of the show's creators-- i trust in this alternate take that was never used as impetus for spike's ensouling. AND NO MASOCHISTIC MARTYRS!

I loved this story so much that this is the 5th time I am reading it. The only gripe I have is that Buffy was entirely to forgiving of everyone. She should have had a lot of issues with the lot of them. That always got to me with that episode when she came back from being thrown out of her own house.

I love this story. I hope you intent to write a sequal. At first I thought that Dawn was in with the group that wanted Spike dead, but from the last chapter I see that is not the case, I'm glad, I love the big brother, little sister relationship they share. Keep up the good writing.

And of course it never occurs to any of them that they were all there when Buffy made her little announcement about how to stop the First. It is, after all, their responsibility to choose who Buffy loves and should be with. NOT!!!!!!!!!!!

I honestly can't decide whether I'd rather see Buffy slap them down or just get in and out without acknowledging their existence.

Very nice, loving reunion between Spike and Buffy. I like that you had Spike's mother appear to him. I think knowing she loved and forgave him was something Spike needed. Look forward to the next update.
