Nice chapter, yay Buffy wants spike to love her. Now all she has to realize is that she has to give Spike her heart, all of it openly and fully regardless of whether Spike loves her or not. Even though Spike loving Buffy is like gravity pushing everything on the planets surface into space. Isn't going to happen.

Good to see an update. I like that Buffy wants Spike to believe in love for both of them, that's progress. Good that she realizes she wants Spike to love her, now she has to admit she loves him too. Poor Spike still missing his mom, needing that comfort.:(

Very promising. I love that you let them explore their deeper fears and tangled emotions. Too many authors just solve any problem between them with sexual attratction. I also think your somewhat vulnerable Spike seems very true. Can't wait to see more of this and how the Scoobies and girls react to Spike in your story.

I like that this is addressed. Especially because I read a lot of fics where it never occurs to anyone what happened in that bathroom. Some they have sex in the bathroom set after that happened with no acknowledgment. It bugs me. Also I like that Buffy doesn't blame herself or make it her fault. I hate when people blame Buffy because she treated Spike poorly. Still doesn't excuse rape.

Also I'm longwinded but I like this story so far. Keep it up!

Wonderful update. I think Buffy and Spike needed this moment of honesty and I liked that Buffy didn't brush off Spike's admission of hurting her. It's a reality that can't be pushed aside, but it's one they can work past and it's looking like they're both at that place. Looking forward to more.
