Why does Spike always have to be the jerk . It is like I want to pull my hair every time I see another story where Spike treats Buffy badly and acts like a dick. Buffy leaves him and probably goes out with Angel or something. Spike then notices and he regrets the way he treated Buffy. He tries to win back her heart and beg for forgiveness. I can see it all now. I can see it going that way. I am so tired of reading Spike the jerk and Buffy the good girl.

OMG, that was so sad, i want to hit the dope over the head , i'm glad he feels bad for hurting her though, that's promising. for a minute I thought she was going to run into him at the restaurant ,with another girl , that's something an unthinking male would do . Hope u have her stay strong and not cave, make him grovel , alot! Update soon , I love this fic.

Oh my god. I just found this, and I can't belive I gave it the brush-off before. Your summarey does not give justice to your incredible work. Every little thing about this fic, every part of the story, I love. So many times have I read the same deal over and over again, Spike's inlove with Buffy, but Buffy's not inlove with Spike. So refreshing to read about the unrequited love from the other side. And it helps that you write it so well. The core of the story is so simple, yet so touching. So human. Aww poor Buffy. Sometimes guys are such idiots. They just don't realize *or care* what they have.

I love it, I can really feel Buffys pain while reading this and it makes me so sad. I so hope Spike gets a grip and notices what's wrong with Buffy and makes it up to her. She really doesn't deserve him being a jerk. But still I can't shake off the feeling that Spike has feelings for Buffy despite the way he is acting, there has to be something that prevents him from showing her, I am sure of that.
Do you already know how many chapters this story is going to have?

Aww poor Buffy. I can't imagine how it would feel to not even be able to leave a tiny toothbrush at your boyfriend/lover's house. I hope she does stay strong and doesn't go running back to him straight away. Good update, can't wait to read more.
