you have a great talent making Buffy not annoying with her emotions. Sometimes when authors create a sense of sadness/hopelessness in Buffy specifically it becomes overbearing and I just end up frustrated with her. I like that this story portrays her longing and regret in a way that doesn't make me want to scream at her. I think it's because once she knew she'd made a mistake, she made attempts to fix things. I hate when people drag the angst out too much.

I feel bad for Buffy, but I feel even worse for William. I'd hoped she'd throw away her plan and just come clean, laying her heart out there for him like he did, but that's too easy right...? They're now in the same boat, thinking the other doesn't want them, and I can't wait to see how it all plays out. I don't think you'll go with something cheesy and overdone...it doesn't seem your style, but I know it'll be good.

What a sad, sad chapter. You wrote it very well. Good to see Anne and Joyce want them to be together, even if they don't know what happened back in England. Not a happy Christmas tho. God, they both are so stubborn. I guess I can't blame William, she did hurt him. Someone needs to slap some sense into them, pronto. Calling Willow.

Just came across this story recently and I love it! I don't usually prefer AU stories because their whole personalities can change dramatically and sometimes I find it difficult to let go of TV Buffy & Spike, but you can't help but like these two. Great job with portraying Buffy's uncertainties. I can't say I like some of her responses to the situation, but it's definitely in line with her character.

I can't wait to see how their reunion comes to be! I hope Buffy lays herself on the line this time. The one thing about AU's that I prefer over the TV show is that sometimes Spike has balls when it comes to Buffy and doesn't let her trample all over him.
