Oh Angelus, such a delicious bastard most of the time. I really love the way you've twisted the Fanged Four's past history to still make sense, with little bits of canon in there, but it's entirely new and unique and exciting! Can't wait for more.

Ooooh! Interesting and devious. I was wondering how exactly this incarnation of the Darla-Angelus-Dru group evolved. So Angelus has been soulless for the past 30 years at this point, and both he and Darla both spent about 13 years each as a vampire-invalid due to the healing ritual.
I can only imagine the animosity they have built up toward Spike over the years - since it was he who set the whole thing in motion by searching out the cure for Dru in the first place. When they meet up it will *not* be a pretty fight. Spike will probably be in more danger from them than Buffy will be. I can see their hatred of Spike basically blinding them to the threat of Buffy ~ hopefully she can take advantage of that!
Can't wait for more!
Author's Response: Glad you liked the group's 'tweaked' history! Yes, Angelus definitely has no lost love for Spike, and he will be quick to remind Darla that Spike started the whole ritual thing. Funny you should mention that about the first meeting, since Angelus will be more interested in Spike at first, first as 'what are you doing here,' then to 'why aren't you killing the Slayer?' Though in hindsight it's maybe better that Spike isn't mentioned in Buffy's file.
Seems as if Giles has found something now he wants to learn Buffy (the swords). He sounded really happy.
The others aren't so good to translate what Drusilla says; otherwise they had noticed that she talked about Spike :)
Author's Response: Yeah, Spike is probably not something Giles is going to be understanding about, and certainly not right off the bat. Besides, Wesley thinks that Spike was something Buffy left behind in LA... And Angelus just hears whatever he wants in Dru's ramblings, mainly that there's a new Slayer. Thanks for reading!

My God, you write each and every one of them perfectly!
Most writers have some characters down, and Buffy is not portrayed well as often as Spike is (cuz Spike has more things that stand out, I think) but you make her come to life!
This story becomes better and better with each chapter! The interaction of the three vampires was chillingly funny, and “It’s just so predictable. Kill a virgin, fuck a virgin, kill a virgin…” made me giggle sooo hard!
Still loving this!

Loved seeing Spike's pov in this chapter , very enlighening, and of course I enjoyed those interjections of humor here and there. It was after Darla had returned that Angelus came back to his old self. Very interesting indeed - I'm very curious how he 'got so happy'.
