Awww how cute, Spike is worried about Buffy fighting alone. He didn't have to be all grumpy on Willow though, it was Buffy's call. I don't think willow will be throwing stones...she IS dating wolf boy. This could be good for Buffy too--finally being able to have someone to talk to about her confusing relationship with Spike...getting a 2nd point of view on the matter. Update soon! :)

WOW, sweety, this chapter was so, hmmmmm, erotic and intimate without being physically so. The words exchanged between them said a lot more than they did and I loved it. They're growing closer, and I couldn't be happier for them. So ignore my last review about snatching away a possible hot moment, because this filled the bill more than sex could have. Things are happy now but for how long? I sense doom in the near future. This Spike of yours seems a bit more....I hate to say it but a bit like Angel...not really talky and speaking his mind---kind of holding back. The Spike I'm use to in the show wants Buffy to be upfront about her relationship and know where they stand, in your fic it seems to be the other way around. Buffy is the one questioning and wanting to label what they have.

Author's Response: Happy for not that long, actually. But then happy again. :) That's an interesting point of view about Spike, since most people have commented on him being brutally honest (though, admittedly about his past and killing and such). As for the relationship in the show, I think Spike wanted Buffy to own up to the Scoobies because until she did, she wasn't admitting even to herself what they were doing. The Scoobies' opinions might not have mattered to Spike, but I think the fact that they knew or not did. In this fic, I really don't think Spike cares about Buffy's friends. Yes, their relationship is a secret, but it's not that Buffy is ashamed, it's more that she doesn't think anyone will react well. And likewise, she wouldn't be saying, "Oh, I'm with Spike, by the way," she'd be saying, "I've got this vampire boyfriend," who none of them have any history with, or know anything about, except for what Giles has read. And Spike in S6 might have been an 'evil vampire,' but he was pretty much, well, neutered, where this Spike is very much not, so Buffy has nothing to prove that he won't kill, other than that he says he won't. I think Spike on the show didn't feel like he had all of her because he was her secret. This Spike knows he has all of her, and her friends' opinions don't matter to him. Really, he's known her for longer than anyone in Sunnydale has. As for Buffy wanting to label it, she knows they have a thing, and have a weird thing, that doesn't exactly have a label. He started out as business, but he's almost her boyfriend, and is really so much more than that. Hope that makes sense, and you can see what I had in mind for them. Thanks for reviewing!
