Ooooh, great chapter! Love how Spike walked away, but apparently couldn't stay away. I've fascinated by this line:

"Three men, but their faces were distorted, their teeth long and sharp… Vampire, some part of her mind screamed, while the other part said, But Spike didn’t look like that."

Because of her feelings for him, does she just not see his game face as ugly, like the other vamps?

If Buffy is the slayer, I wonder if her powers are just not manifested yet. Like she hasn't been offically called yet, but somehow these other vamps found out she was about to be? I'm all curious, especially with your penchant for throwing curveballs.

Author's Response: Hi! Sorry if there was confusion on the vamp face thing. Buffy had never seen Spike in game face until after he saved her from the three vamps in the alley. So she didn't know that vampires had two faces. But when she saw big teeth, she still automatically thought "vampire." She also doesn't immediately recognize Spike after he saves her until she notices his hair. Do I have a penchant for curveballs? Hehe, I didn't think I had been too curvy. Though it will probably get curvy. :) But will you kill me for not answering anything about the Slayer yet? Thanks for reviewing! (And such a long review!)

Didn't indeed take long for Hank to notice that Smith was dead. He didn't answer Spike's question.... he couldn't, huh? Because Spike is right.
He (Spike) left without hesitation. I wonder how it came that he was there when Buffy was attacked (and who wanted her in one piece).... So Spike saved her again. Maybe he was still watching her?
Is Buffy indeed the slayer? She wasn't able to defend herself against her attackers before. Isn't she an active slayer of did she want to be under cover...
Looking forward to more / to find out what happened :)

Loved it :)Wen spike left i was like nooooo! thinking it would be awhile b4 the two were backtogetha, but i only had to wait part of a chapter :) Can't wait for the spuffyness ahead!
