I also stand by me review that part 2 is a well wrtitten, accurate and equally enjoyable fiction to read about Spike's early life. I am amazed at how you were able to write every minute deatils about it.

Now i know that the coming part 111 will surpassed this one. For one thing the anticipated reunion is almost killing me! Hope to read it soon!

I am sad to see this end and I am also greatly looking forward to them meeting up again. I think Angel got his just desserts and I also felt with Spike telling him it was always him doing the crimes and not to blame it on anything else was exactly the truth. I felt in that moment Spike came into his own. This time jump and Spike being the killer od Slayers will be explosive when his Buffy returns to his time. Still I shall miss reading of Spike travels and his relationship with Drusilla they have such a unique past and need for one another from circumstance. Well done on part 2 and I look forward to your book 3.

I got a little disheartened by the reviews that said it was boring, or too violent, or that I should just skip it and get to the Spuffy. For me, Part II was interesting to write, because I had the opportunity to explore the metamorphosis of William into Spike. I hope you find Part III a good read, as well. Oh - I am sorry that I haven't been reviewing part II - but I have really liked it - a lot!! : ) I thought it gave good insight into why Spike isn't like other vampires. Loved the whole Spike and Angel interplay - and I always love a good Angel bashing - keep it up: )

I'm really sorry for not reviewing more (or at all, I'm not positive which) during part 2, but I really did like it - a great feat of Williamfinally putting Elizabeth out of his mind (mostly), and his journey and incentives in his slayer search. and of course the parts (please, I"m paraphrasing and sleepy, so) about "if your girl could see you now" so haunting
I'm really looking forward to how you go with part 3 - will she remember him? I'm going to have to spend next weekend rereading part 1.
Anyway, love this story.

I loved part 2...you couldn't have written it better. I actually wanted to see some more but going right into 1997 is fine too. The million dollar question is will she ever remember him...i mean i don't see how she can unless someone actually comes forward and says 'hey your alternative reality self went back into the past and fell in love with william and thats why he is so drawn to you'. I mean she's not going to refall into the portal again....is she? Hmm....it would be like the never ending story...hehe
Also i'm a bit interested on how you'll alter the episode from season 2 and beyond. Its got to be different in some way....I mean Spike is going to have to come out of denial sometime and crack open his eyes and see that this girl is HIS girl.

Even though I missed the Spuffy I do think that you did a wonderful job in Part II of developing the "Spke" persona of our hero :-). This is really a wonderful story and you've done an incredible job of developing both the plot and the characters. Thank you lord jesus christ. LOL. I've been waiting forever for part III to come. I may not have been a huge fan of part II but I must say that I understand why you did what you did. You really wanted us to know the hell and transformation that William had to go through because of her and how he ultimately became Spike. Because really, could we have William here in 1997 instead of Spike? You took your time to really develop your character and your work is the better for it. Can't wait for the next part.

So happy to see the update. As I saw the year, 1997, I wondered if you initially intended this big jump, or if you felt pressured to get to Part 3. Just wanted to let you know that as hard as it was to read sometimes, I really appreciated the journey of William becoming Spike.

I was feeling very emotional reading the first couple of paragraphs: the acknowledgment of becoming closed off emotionally and the enjoyment of having "no past."

I'm kinda apprehensive for all the angst that is sure to start happening now with Buffy. Can't wait for more though. I love this story!

I highly anticipated Part III but I was not at all disappointed in Part II. If we didn't get to see William's journey into Spike than I think something huge would have been missing in this story. Don't apologize it is what the story needed.

You did an excellent job weaving canon into this, fleshing out the details of the Gypsy encampment and how Spike and Dru happened to be nearby. Making Spike's massacre of the Gypsy's wife and children an act of malice works much better for this Spike than canon's idiot mistaken massacre. Spike's confrontation with Angelus was emotionally satisfying, and getting a bit of his own back felt right for the character. I also like how Spike turned the event to reflect on his own choices since becoming a vampire.

We're still nearly a century removed from Buffy's calling, but I'm enjoying Spike's evolution so much I don't mind a bit. I somehow missed this chapter when it was posted, so I have another one to get to right away. Lucky me!
