Second thoughts now? Giving Matthew the cross. Too late now, he's dead. And William was the one in command, responsible for the death.
Did William has the right anyway to execute Hank? (martial law?) Maybe Buffy would understand this. But Matt was innocent. *sigh* (Good chapter)

The true horror of war is illustrated beatifully. The human trafedy when all the polemic is stripped away should devastate us all and this story brings that to the fore.

I'm still horrified and shaken, but I imagine I'm supposed to be.

Looking forward to more.

Im sorry but I think this story is in a very difficult situation. If my father and my brother were killed in my face, I would do anything in my power to get my revenge. I dont know how this is going to be a spuffy story but I going to wait and see. In my opinion, I would be very dissapointed if buffy forgive Spike

Great story so far! Why is William taking Buffy along? Is she a prisoner of war? Will there be an explanation for this? I can't wait to see the next update to see where you are going with this story.

i kew he was sad that mathew was killed and that he cared for mathew and cares for elizabeth at least a little. i love this story and am so happy u updated. im glad that william threatened to kill that guy that killed mather. i feel so bad for elizabeth and i hope that she some how comes to deal with the loses and that william can somehow make it up to her. also i hoep that everything wokrs out in the end and that theyre happy together. please update as soon as u can, i cant wait to see wat william and elizabeth do next. thanx

I like this story so far and your a great write but I really cant seee her ever even liking him after that. I eman, if a man my father trusted and I was starting to trust killed me 12 year old brotehr and father I would do more then spit in his face and Ièd hae ahrsher words, I dont think shed ever love him :À but ill keep reading to see how it turns out for now.

yeah, it's like I thought, Spike just sees it as war and casualties, fighting for his side. understandable, but sad. Hopefully, Buffy will be able to change his mind :-)

I don't see how Buffy will ever forgive William enough for her to be able to fall in love with him. I just can't see that happening. No matter how nice Spike treats her. I wouldn't be able to forget that he was the one responsible for killing my father and little brother. But I will probably keep on reading a little more to see how you are able to do it. I do love Spuffy lovin cause is the best.

But you are a good writer and this story so far is good. So keep up the good work.

I had a feeling William was a spy but I wasn't sure, I also thought perhaps someone else knew about their operation and William was going to help Buffy and her family.

You certainly have a challenge ahead of you. The Buffy in this fic doesn't seem the type to just fall in love with her family's murderer and her own kidnapper, regardless of the extenuating circumstances. I look forward to how you plan to bring them together despite all that's happened so far.
