What a great chapter! Having all three of the main suspects showing up at once. I'm thinking now it wasn't Angel. I'm back to Riley since he was so mean about him being there. Though Xander hasn't been ruled out.

Ok, obviously it wasn't Angel that did the whole torture Spike and make him blind thing. It was just an inborn responce for Spike; his demon recognized Angel as someone he should submit to. What I really want to know is how Xander managed to get so good at acting.

I'm really loving this story; there's the whole 'will Spike get better' aspect, and then the 'who hurt Spike' acpect. Really great writing, and a very creative premise.

Hmm, all the bad penny's showing up at the same time. Not exactly a coincedence is it? Angel lied about his real reason for being there. He didn't come to apologize, not really. Riley walks in like he owns the place. Yeah, he came straight from the caves, looking for Spike. Xander, he was at least suppose to be there. But, with Spike on his knees, Buffy and Dawn think that it was Angel that tortured him. Damn, this is tense!!! Can't wait for the next chapter!!! :)

Another chapter-- squee!!! I love all three of the usual suspects converging on the house at once. So, now my suspicions are that Riley is the only one taken aback by Buffy's interaction with Spike and her pet names for him. Looked like Xander was a little surprised she might be taking up with him again, but clearly he was there to help Buffy. I like the way you make all of the suspicion point to Angel, with Spike taking the subserviant position, but it's probably a Sire/Childe thing. Very good!

Ooohhh....a third suspect I hadn't even considered-- So now we have all our "dark knights" as potential suspects of Spike abusers-- Angel, Riley and Xander. Great way to knock the breath right out of Buffy, and the reader.
