Oooh, I smell wisps of Willow's magical "helpfulness" maybe coming down the pike...

And I was intrigued by this: "But what a lonely existence this would be if she spent an eternity with no affection at all. Didn't it make sense to form relationships with their own kind?" I think these are thoughts unusual to most vampires, and it remined me of Spike's observation in an erlier chapter that Buffy, like him, is a little different that most vampires (not wanting to kill her family and friends all that much).

I love the way evil seems so 'normal' to this Buffy its not dark and dank just fluffy with a side of morbid.

I love the partnership that currently exists between Buffy and Spike: the way they find joy in the same things and see things on the same wavelength. That equality is something we never saw on the show (Buffy always had a superiority complex), and I like seeing it. I think it works.

Willow is going to cause some trouble for our couple, isn't she? Giving anything to make it right again? I have some theories about where you might be going with that...
