I'm really enjoying the "take charge" Xan-man.

Author's Response: RandiGiles, Xander was never my favorite character in Buffyverse, but I gained new respect for him in [b]Zeppo.[/b] After that, I believed that he could be more than he seemed. Of course, by season 7 , he reverted to the self-rightous SOB he always was. Thanks for the comment.

Very good chapter Aamah, poor Spike talk about having him by the short and curlies. That was love about and beyond the call of duty. I really enjoyed it, it was true to form for Giles to think Spike had gone bad, but I like how you don't make Giles and Xander the completely intolerant characters they are in a lot of otherwise good stories.

Like this story but I must say when making plans for this Binnemon guy what the hell is Giles thinking. He forget the first rule of planning, KISS = Keep It Simple Stupid.

You know for some odd reason this chapter reminded me of a very weird horror/scifi story where women's uteruses and men's penises had ripped free from the human's body and went bouncing off into the sky.

I have to say I'm thoroughly impressed with the amount of detail you provide for your OCs. Of course that then means I have to actually THINK about the merit of their actions with consideration for their past experiences and can't just automatically default to my "if-they-ain't-on-Spike-and-Buffy's-side-then-I-don't-like-'em" setting (and YES I'm being sarcastic...a little thought with your fiction never hurt anybody LOL). Oh and a big YAAAAY for the more emotionally mature Buffy. But not so mature that you wouldn't let her knee Spike in the goolies though. Heh. What can I say...I'm a neanderthal sometimes! More soon please.

Ahhhh yes - my spuffy lovin' heart is somewhat satisfied now though what 'the morning after' might bring leaves me with some trepidation ~crosses her fingers and hopes for a wiser more emotionally-mature Buffy for Spike to wake with~ Thank you for dream-Buffy...her being in an only semi-aware state gave her the freedom to express emotional truths we never got to see from her in BtVS. Beautifully done. And I sooo knew MacGregor was going to be a fascinating OC. Loved the "he was part of a highly sophisticated society full of ancient traditions scrupulously observed under pain of…well …. pain." bit, LOL! In his forty years however he hasn't yet discovered a thing called 'identity fraud'? C'mon MacGregor. Civilized vampire or not you'd think a semi creature-of-the-dark (or is that creature-of-the-semi-dark?) wouldn't be above a little petty crime yeah? More soon please. Oh and yaay Giles...whatever his personal motivations may have been with regards to Spike he's still been central to allowing them to come together (no pun intended) in this chapter and for that all Spuffy-shippers following this fic will be grateful I'm sure ~winks saucily~

Oh there were some masterful strokes in these last couple of chapters. I especially liked this bit. Giles: “You might give a chap some warning, you nearly killed me. How did you get in anyway?” Spike only smiled. “I walked in. Vampire……stealthy!” he said, wiggling his fingers to demonstrate how spooky he could be. Then our Brit boys had to go and give MacGregor (it's going to be such FUN getting to know this OC I can tell) a hard time. Point of fact, Giles: “Are you sure he’s a vampire? ….He fainted! What sort of vampire faints?”. And then Spike: Let me dust him, please let me dust him….he’s an embarrassment to our kind.” LOL cubed I say! Oh and Buffy seems to be really enjoying her space though I wonder - was Giles placing her in the cottage truly about giving her some privacy or is he trying to prevent the Spuffy lovin? Let's see how long fate keeps our duo apart *crosses her fingers for her favourite tv pairing* More soon please?

Just started reading this fic last night at fonts of Wisdom and just wanted you to know I've been enjoying it very much. This chapter was fantastic--loved the twist on vampire experience. MacGregor is wonderful. Looking forward to reading some more.

Having not checked up on the SF for a little while getting three chappies worth of update from you was such a thrill. Here's my highlights. 1- The 'Giles as Grand-poobah' comment. That had me thinking of the day he opened the Magic Box dressed as a wizard/warlock...in my mind I swapped out the pointy hat for a red fez with tassles but left the sheepish expression on his face, LOL. 2- Xander as butt-monkey. He's always the bridesmaid and never the bride, poor dear. I almost felt sorry for him actually at his flash of insight into his circumstances. Sidekick? Sure. Comic relief? No sweat. But beyond that? He doesn't seem inclined to hold his breath. *softly hums the tune to 'Wind beneath my wings' and hopes it soothes him* 3- Slayer Senses 101 with Spike. I'm not going to get all lascivious and tell you exactly what I'd like to get Spike to teach ME about but it WAS nice to see some appreciation for his experience as he worked with the young slayers. But what's up with this MacGregor character? Another vampire on the scene - oooh the plot thickens. I'm anticipating Buffy's arrival too btw. Can't wait to see if Spike will still feel content to 'warm himself with memories' if he gets the chance to be near her again. More soon please!
