uhmmm... it seems buffy's playing with fire. i wonder if she's really so clueless about claiming and such... and i think that, even if she is trying so hard to prove she doesn't care, and that he is pretending to love and trust her, she would be mightly disappointed if spike "failed" her test...

Loved Buffy's musing.. even if she is wrong when it comes to Spike. She underestimated him and herself. So the thing Spike notice that was missing: was it Buffy leading him to her home and not telling? I wonder too if the spell (Buffy's barrier spell for any creature of supernatural origin) if that includes her even if she doesn't think of it yet. No it didn't. At last she had no problem going in. Looking forward to read more about Buffy's plan. I wonder how long it will take for it to backfire. ;-)
