Oh don't worry, I loved the chapter. This was an emotional roller coaster. I simply don't know if I can believe Buffy yet. She had a plan she began with. I fear she'll go through with it but we'll see.

I feel like I have been holding my breath for 13 unbelievable chapters. Il let it all out in a great whoosh with the last line.

I've gotten caught up on this brilliant little fic. "Dead Things" was one of my all-time favorite episodes, so it tottally rocks that you picked that as your launching point. I love dher internal dialogue, and I hope that when all is said and done, you can go off cannon and get her to admit her feelings and need for him now rather then when it is too late. Looking forward to reading more!

I'm glad that Buffy is seeing now what she did to Spike; she even wanted to change it, release Spike, but he still wants to prove things to Buffy. There I thought Buffy wanted to give in; yet because she got reminded that Spikes loves her she didn't. Things stay interesting. ~Till next chapter!

All that, and still she's fighting it over and over.

Stupid bitch.

She already loves him, so what the hell's the point? Does she know everything about the future? No! Does she know for certain that being with Spike, who's sooooo different than Angel, will meet a disastrous end? No! She's not going to push away her fear in one night, so this whole thing is really pointless.

Buffy crosses a line? Mmmm *reads on* Ah, candles. And Spike likes it.. And Buffy don't want to hurt him too much so far; if this wasn't the case she wouldn't have reached for the candle that was resting on Spike's stomach when it was in danger to fall. And Buffy words were indeed more gruesome than her actions. Buffy is the one that is yeah.. broken? Or wrong.. and she knows what she does to Spike. ~ Till next chapter!

in the end buffy did it... not with actions, or tests, but she broke him. And she still got love in return...

Loved reading the update :-D Spike's reaction was unexpected (well, for Buffy). She didn't think he would take the risk and trust her at the end of the chapter. Looking forward to the next one. (Yup, loved the chapter) :)
