Oh Spike is trying to stop Buffy even if he thinks he can't. Uh-huh.. he really tried his best. And now he's hurt and helpless and Dawn doesn't know how dangerous Buffy is. Oh I hope her 'keyness' can stop Buffy. Because killing Dawn would only be the begin (of a bloodbath). Looking forward to read the next part!

I hope Joyce did understand more now what it means to be mated.. being 'one'. And if Buffy wants to kill Dawn because she binds her than she's part of the riddle / the solution. Now lets hope that Spike can help Buffy to fight her inner demon.

HO-LEE CRAP, what is inside Buffy? Is it another Hell God? Eek...she is trying to control this thing but is just too weak to do it - and I don't see how Spike can help this time. I hope that when she gets closer to Dawn that this thing is weakened.
I really like what Spike told Joyce about being on his side meant being on Buffy's side as well - and, to me, even though Joyce said that she is on Buffy's side, it just hasn't really seemed that way very much.

Loved the chapter :) So now Buffy, together with Spike, will not only take her mother and Dawn to a safety place, they'll take the Scoobies and Giles too. Well it will get crowded; interesting things ahead including Spike's explanation. I'm glad that Buffy remembered at last that the council has betrayed her before. :)

Buffy is really herself at the moment. Glad that they were able to talk. And after Buffy's description Spike figured it out what Buffy's problem (her primal part) is. And that Buffy is in danger now. I'm even more glad that Buffy was able to fight her primal part back.

Glad that Buffy is gaining control over her evil self . Hopefully Spike and Buffy will relate on a different level that does not involve much more abuse toward the vampire. Good chapter, looking forward to more.

Wonderful update! Love Joyce when she gets into protective Mama Bear mode-- makes Spike even more afraid than of a mightily pissed off Slayer! I'm glad Buffy's doing the give and take routine now, and that she's being vulnerable to him and making realistic requests-- very relationship-y!

Poor Spike...this is all so much more trouble than taking care of Dru ever was. He's got to be feeling twice his age about now...

The best thing to do is for the gang to split up after the meeting. Provided the Council does not already have operatives in Sunnydale to tail them, it's best if they all just go for a few days. The Council will only be absolutely sure of grabbing Giles and her family to get to Buffy.

Poor Spike! I'm glad Buffy won this round but can she win again. Can she win enough to take control long enough for them to figure it all out and show the Spike the love she is so obviously feeling. Perhaps Dawn can help ground them both enough for Buffy to allow Spike to claim her back and then that evil Buffy will be lost forever? I sure love this (even though it breaks my heart how much abuse Spike is going through - even worse than on the show!) Excellent tale. Keep em coming!
