First off, let me tell you how hard it is for me to read this story, but then let me say I'm sticking with it.

It's hard for BTVS fans to see Buffy as a screwed up mess of a bitch, of course, frankly she was my hero(ine!)

However, something is terribly off here; I just hope that Spike can see through it and help her.
I hope he doesn't go off and do something stupid over this. You know how impulsive the lad is!

Great story, dark but great.

first off i'd like to say that you're doing a great job on this story and you shouldn't let what other people say get to you. yes , buffy may be acting like a bitch but she is suposed to be. i did not get to read the authors not but from what i can gather she is that has a low self opinion and is trying to keep herself from getting hurt. this may or may not be how you intended it but it was how i perseved it. the fact that there are people seeing buffy in different ways just makes the story that much better.
i also think that by having buffy act like she is adds realism to the story. when people are so gaurded they are obviously not going to set themsalfs uf for the possibility of fetting hurt.
anyway KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK. can't wait to see whats next.

Wow. Poor Spike! Buffy needs to realize he really cares for her and stop trying to push him away. The girl has issues, but I don't hate her.

I can't wait for the next chapter! Mad love for this story!

god, what a total bitch! i seriously hate her in this, i don't care what crap she's been through in the past. she has no right to treat someone like that when they have never done anything to hurt her. at this rate, she's going to lose the only person that actually cared about her. he should just forget about her whore of a self and find someone else. william deserves better than that, but i'm not gonna stick around to find out. i didn't realize this story was going to be as bad when i started reading it, i guess i should have taken notice of the warnings. i didn't realize that it was going to be dark. i'm too much into the fluffy spuffy to continue and i don't see that happening often in this story. sorry, good luck with the rest of it.

Hmm don't have a problem with the way Buffy is acting, she always seemed to be fucked up on the show so no real stretch there and most spuffy stories that are AU have her with a sordid past that usually makes her act in strange ways.

I like the story and can't wait for the next chapter.

to have that much of a low opinion of yourself to make other people believe it is just sad. She may have issues, but she is acting like a horrible person right now, the excuses and reasoning she's giving herself for treating him like that is bull and I hope she realizes that sooner rather then later.

I am very interested in her development and how Spike fits into that. Good chapter.

Great update. It was good to see a bit of William's past. And the tension between Buffy and Joyce is weird. Not in a bad way, though. It makes for some good reading. ;)

first off sorry your trip took longer than planned but im happy that u updated. i love this story and i really want to see spike and buffy get together, i really hope that buffy starts to understand that shes not wat she thinks she is and that shes a good person and that spike cares for her. also i hope that they come to love each other and form a happy relationship. please update as soon as u can, cant wait to read more. thanx

i'm sorry, but i don't understand this story. i thought she wanted him to want more from her than just sex. i'm not sure about the last part about who she was. all she seems to be is a phone sex operator. i don't know what the big deal is, it's not like it makes her a whore or anything, but now with the way she's acting, she's starting to seem like one. i just hope she'll get over it soon and give spike a chance, or she will just keep on being miserable. i'm hoping for some more spuffy of the non-sex kind.

Buffy and Spike were lucky Joyce didn't send Rupert outside to check out what the noise was. Poor Buffy it's so sad her opinion of herself is so low. I liked the dinner conversation between Spike, Joyce and Giles. Can't wait to read more. Great update!

Oh yeah, he's breaking her down slowly. I kinda like this Buffy - thinking she's not worthy of a relationship/Spike. Kind of a nice twist from some of the usual Buffy behavior in fics. I'd like to see her throw herself at him repeatedly and Spike shoot her down every time till she does see. Update soon please.

So Joyce did hear something last night? I wonder too if Giles knows more. Loved the talk between Giles, Joyce and William. Seems too that Buffy lost all of a sudden her appetite. Because she thinks Spike wants a relationship? We'll see :)

Wow...Buffy has a lot of issues it seems. I hope she learns to accept Spike's attentions. A lot of women would kill to have someone like him! I hope she opens up to him and he doesn't stop til she does and they're together! Great chapter! UPDATE SOON PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
