Ouch. That hurt. I feel bad that Spike is so miserable. Hell, I even feel a little sorry for Harmoney in this one. I'm just dying for Spike to pick up that phone and call Buffy again...just like how this all began. Can't wait for more.

I'm having a huge emotional reaction to this story simply because this is what real people do. It's irrational, illogical and just plain messy...but it's what humans do. We will set out to kill a perfectly good chance at happiness if it means we don't have to deal with the fear of disappointment and hurt. Sometimes misery is the safer option and it's fear that drives us all. Anyone who complains that Buffy should 'get over it and give Spike a chance' probably hasn't felt that sort of pain and fear yet. You're doing a fantastic job with this one Suzee. I'm with you 100%.

Yuk - the only love scenes I like with Riley are if he's getting forced to provide sexual favors for someone who is using him sadistically (damn, I've got issues don't I).
