Doesn't Spikke just have the worse luck? First slimy Daryl wants to "play" with the slave, now Darla wants to purchase him? Talk about jumping from the frying pan into the fire! Great tale. More please.

Author's Response: Thanks, and I hope to have more soon. As for Spike's luck, if he didn't have the bad luck to become a salve in the frist place, it would be much of a story. He really does have the worst luck in this fic.

I really enjoy this fice. This was a great chapter. Love the introduction of Daryl. I hope you will be able to continue to post regularly.

Author's Response: Thanks. And Spike doesn't like being purchased by anyone. But I think he'll be pretty warry of Darla's motives, at least until he has a better idea of what she's up to (and of course, she's up to something).

I have said before that I love this story and the latest chapter did little to disappoint.

That was a twist that I certainly wasn't expecting and the easy demise of Daryl somehow compounds the horror he had wrought in Buffy's life.

Wonderful premis; wonderful writing. Thank you.

Loved the update. REALLY wasn't expecting Darla at all. I'm sure Buffy won't be able to keep Spike away from her, at least not without a little help from Spike. Can't wait to see what happens next!

Author's Response: Thank you, both for the birthday wishes and the review. I think you're the one person who's realized that Darla tends to get her way. But of course, how Spike decides to steer Buffy will make a big difference too.

Well, at least Darla took care of that problem, though I'm sure he didn't experience as much pain as he should have. But I have to wonder how he managed to gain such status and position in The Center without anyone ever *really* challenging him. Anywhoo, can't wait for the next update.

Author's Response: I think people challenged Daryl in the past, he was just ready for them. Darla got by a lot of his defenses by simply not appearing to be a threat. unlike most of the demons that live in The Center.

As a slave you don't have much choices... so it was for Buffy, and so it is for Spike now. They would have to go away.
Couldn't have her badmouthing his skills in bed in the afterlife after all. Hehe.. loved this line. ~ So Spike thinks Buffy won't sent him to Daryl, rather would have to send him away? I wonder (doubt) if it will be that easy. *g* I'm late reading but I still love the update
