Read this all in one go, and was delighted along the way. This was an entertainingly wild ride, filled with vivid action sequences and smoldering sex scenes. Your Buffy was a wonderful read, and so was Spike. Their relationship built on a base of antagonism and seething hatred, segued naturally into warmer feelings without missing a beat.

I loved the demon of the week aspect to Dru's assassins, and the instances you had Spike fighting them off bare bottom made me laugh out loud. Herbert was also a delight, and his role in Dru's demise was a real surprise. Beauty, too, was a delightful character. Thanks for the entertaining read.

Oh I think Joyce will be supportive; and after some time Giles will come around too. It's more important that Buffy and Spike are happy. That's what counts for Joyce too.

I absolutely love it that, again, you sidestepped the common fanfic hole - in that you didn't make Buffy retreat and become uber!bitch just because Xander was there. And her actions were perfectly in tune to everything she's been through with Spike, up to this point. What a wonderful read.

ZOMG!! Buffy's enthusiasm about the farmhouse is just brilliant. And again, I must stress how much I LOVE it that you wrote her as, well, human. She's incredibly vulnerable, but not above throwing punches. That, IMO, is what Joss wanted. Not Frosty the Snow Bitch.

Her devastation that Spike might not want her -- might still want Dru -- is just heartbreaking. And Spike needs to get his act together. But I do love it that you're sticking so close to canon. It's refreshing...and it makes me want to hurry even quicker to the next chapter.

I love Buffy's insecurity -- you're definitely making her more human, rather than the frosty bitch that we see in a lot of fanfics. Her vulnerability makes her human, and I love that.

Also, their combined confusion over what's changing is just brilliant. The force behind Spike's attack and the way it left him feeling...I'm gonna stop typing now 'cause I wanna keep reading.
