Ack! You took me from guffawing...“I’ve died and gone to hell,"... to aching... ‘I really don’t want to know what you’ve been through that you have to ask me that.’ ... and left me on tenterhooks. I almost regret reading this as a WIP, the way I can tell it's gonna twist me up. Almost.

I just LOVE the way this fic is going..It's good to see the glimmers of the real Spike in there..

Poor Spike is just so damaged, and Buffy is just so mournful and lonely..I am just gleeful in anticipation of what I hope is to come. If ever two story characters have NEEDED one another more..then I don't know who they were.

You are doing a fantastic job! Looking forward to more : D

This story is absolutely gutwrenching and painful. It brings me close to tears every chapter, but this one was really heart-breaking. You are very good at this. The whole set-up is very interesting, by the way, if you play this right, it could be epic very easily, maybe with the result of the initiative taken down completely. That would be the best besides a spuffy happy end that I could imagine. Anyway, I´m constantly looking for your updates and you´re doing very well. Keep going!

I'm very impressed with this story. You've created a world both foreign and plausible, and done the same with the characters. I like your drained and yet deeply moral Buffy, as well as your broken down but still recognizeable (on the inside, at least) Spike. Well done, and I'm looking forward to more.

Wowie. There seems to have been a plethora of slavery/subservience fics coming out lately and I'm not generally that interested in them. I think you've done a good job in capturing the reader's interest though with the larger questions...what impact would such a situation have on one's sense of identity, self-worth and respect for oneself, or indeed for others? Just as important, how do you maintain your sense of self when forced to subjugate all that you value? And at the end of the day what can you find that would make it worth trying at all? I love fics that make me ask more questions than they'll immediately answer so I'll definitely be for more. 8-)

It is so tempting to go for the quick fix but certain issues must be explored before they can move forward (IMHO). Hope you continue to read - and, of course, review!

I really love this story and look forward to every Monday to find out what is happening. I wish you could update more often but since you can't I know I have to learn to be more patient. i must tell u... your monday update is the only thing that make the first day of the week a bit better!
i totally need some kind of interaction between buffy and spike... a "real" conversation, maybe...
seeing spike so broken is really upsetting... he is a creature of great bravery and endurance. hope he will regain his "spark" soon!
PS i usually like angel but... i fear he won't be on the good side (at least, where spike's corcerned) in this fic...
