OOooooooooo! Plot twist, yay! So now Rupes will figure out: Oh, yeah, Spike DOES having feelings! Duh! Stupid git.
Author's Response: I figured Giles would either need empirical data or a two by four to change his mind. Strangely, I went for the less violent method. :-D Thanks for reviewing!

eeep fabulous!!! love the spike POV and now everyone is getting their dose... i don't know why but i think meret could be an essential part in buffy's recovery...thanx so much!! terrific update!
Author's Response: Thanks! I'm willing to let slip that Meret's touch will definitely affect Buffy, but I'm going to be coy and make everyone read to find out the whys and hows.

Oh, quick up-date...yay! Loved the Joan - Billy flirty banter and the no memory thing was cool, so was the fight scene. Willow looks as if she could be a cause for concern...again! And now Meret is making her presence known to Xander and Giles, I wasn't expecting that, as I kind of always see them as 'close minded' so nice surprise there...so, in all loved the chapter...and can't wait for more...soon, please.
Author's Response: Surprise! It's good to know that I wasn't telegraphing that twist as much as I thought. Thanks for the review!

The second part :) Spike and Joan fought well together - like on person and helped defeat the intruders. But after the spell got lifted, I pity Buffy. She was happy being Joan. Mmm - interesting side-effect - Xander and Giles can hear Meret too - wonder if this is the same for Buffy and Anya (because Dawn and Tara could hear her before). Thanks for updating!
Author's Response: Thasnks for the review!

Gosh this story has so many twists and turns, it's brilliant. I love this new development I wonder how it's gonna affect everyone.
Author's Response: Thanks! I was wondering how badly I was telegraphing my plot twists.

Author's Response: When were those two ever "cozy?" :-D I'm getting there. Thanks for commenting!

Cool chappy. Wonder how this will affect the Scoobie relationships with Spike. Hopefully for the better!
Author's Response: Thank you. Seeing as how I am a sucker for a happy ending, I would say that is a good guess. ;-)

Finally Buffy makes an appearance... and then everyone loses their memory ;) I hope she is here to stay after this.
Author's Response: I can promise more Buffy from here on out. (But then again, more than virtually nothing might not be that much, huh?) ;-) Thanks for reviewing!

Another excellent take on canon, and having Joan christen "BillY made me smile. I loved the description of Spike's agitated walk to The Magic Box, with his new friend Tara being forced to trot alongside. Xander and Anya's ham handed comments were in character and rather cruel. You did an excellent job isolating Spike from most of the group after showing his closeness to Tara and Dawn. The mindswipe has potential to bring Spike into the fold in your universe. I'm looking forward to your take on this.
I'm looking forward to thespells affects
Is Spike
Author's Response: I'm glad you're liking the story so much! And yes, you're right on with the guess that I am using Willow's spell as a big ol' plot device. Thanks for reviewing!

Author's Response: Whoa! Pulling out the big guns? How can I refuse an offer of multiple chocolate covered Spikes. ;-) Of course I will be writing more! Thanks for reviewing!

Oooh! Tabula Rasa in the Meret-verse! Very interesting take on things. Not the broad comedy of Tabula Rasa (though I loved Randy!) but very affecting. Billy's rising terror at this lack of reflection is very believable.
"All brittle dignity and bristling defensiveness, he stood before them, arms crossed, and waited for their reaction."
That is *so* Spike! Perfect description.
Author's Response: Whoa! Meret rates a "-verse?" Now I'm tickled... ;-) I'm glad you're liking my take on Spike. Thanks for the review!
