Why oh why did I read it before going to bed! Now I will have to go to sleep with a broken heart. That was so sad. :-( Sadder than any of the chapters before, and that's saying a lot! Nothing hopeful about this chapter. This story has me hooked as ever and I still really love. I just hope some goodness comes soon, because my heart can't take much more!

Thank YOU for the entertainment. I knew you'd have to get all angsty cause you know - plot sneaks in and then you have to stop the hot sex for a while, oh well. Can't wait to see how William works it all out so he and Buffy can be together again - love what he said to Cecily. Looking forward to the next installment.

I very much enjoy this Buffy, and the calmer one the William seems to bring out in her. These two sure seem good for each other. A wonderful chapter... and given the upcoming makeover... I wonder if Spike will be showing up...

Loved the bit with the tree. Such a classic, and the meeting the mom thing, hope that goes well. Don't want mom nixing the relationship... they're too perfect...

I know you gave us angst warnings and that you've asked us not to get testy about things. And, really, I'm trying. But I've had a bummer of a week and some Spuffyness, or even the hint of a promise of some, would go a long way toward making things better. C'mon, Addie, just a crumb? As always, I'm eagerly (though not quite patiently) waiting for your next update. Thanks again for all your hard work.

Author's Response: I'm sorry your week has been bad, but honestly, I'm not here to cheer up one person. My week's been less than stellar, too, but when it comes right down to it, I have to do what I feel is best for MY story. I feel that a well developed story needs a little conflict. If you don't want to read it,, that's fine, but I'm going to write the story the way I see fit.

Definitely a quick read that is leading me to alter my stance on all human fics. Instead of dismissing most of them- yes, I do have my exceptions- out of hand once learning that they are all human, I'm actually taking the time to read some of them. Need is quickly climbing my ranks of well written AH. Thank you for writing it.

This chapter was just. . . wow. William's emotional turmoil came through beautifully and damn. . just really sad and sweet and heartbreaking all at once. Here's to the hope that William doesn't give up and decides to be stubborn and fight for her.
