Okay, I'm shocked. I never thought Joyce would show up for Buffy's birthday. Now Will is going to have even more misplaced faith in her. Can't wait for more.

Coming to think: When Spike would ask for a cake and Adam would tell - then they would remember that is was Buffy's birthday. Well; I'll wait to find out! At last she came and yet.... *sigh* we'll see.

I felt the same way she did! I had my brithday party right after hurricane Katrina hit. (I live where we got hit) and we had no power, no cake, no presents, no nothing! LOL! But my famliy made the best of it and I was totally greatful! I kinda wished that her mother wouldnt have shown up so Buffy would be upset and William would have to comfort her! :winks: I was going to nominate this at the breathless awards but I didnt have your email address! Well... I don't think Joyce will appear at Buffy's birthday. I don't know how close to the book this fic is - never read it before - but it seems as if Joyce did forget her kids. A really seems so. If I'm wrong - just surprise me ;-)

Great chapter. Very well written. I like how Elizabeth and William's feelings toward their mother is creating tension between them but they are still each other's greatest support. Keeps things interesting. Will be looking forward to more developments.

So Joyce was busy, huh? Wonder who the soldier is that made her forget her kids. And the first moving hands! ;-) Have to time now, will read on later.
