Ahh! Finally they reach some detente. She pretends not to notice that he loves her. He pretends he doesn't care. At least they aren't fighting. Maybe finding Joyce's killer will bring them more together? Can't wait to find out.

I am always very entertained, you don't have to worry about that. ; ) Excellent chapter. I'm glad that they are at least trying to not fight. And the fact that Buffy chose not to push Spike about his death showed maturity and some compassion that I thought that she has been somewhat lacking up until now. Can't wait to see what'll happen now.

Buffy holding her tongue and trying to be more flexible is a nice change of pace, especially with Spike doing the same thing. I'm looking forward to visits of demon haunts looking for clues. Another entertaining chapter, and I loved the mirroring of "Becoming."

Excellent chapter! I love the glimpse into what happened to Joyce that night. I have my own suspicions on who it was but I won't make that conjecture and just wait until you reveal all. I doubt a smooth road is ahead, but that's no fun anyways!

Excellent chapter. You are really pulling things along here. I am very glad to see Buffy not being a total pain in the ass. Though if Spike comes clean on his first vampire act, well she will go ape shit probably. I am glad for once she let it drop. Hmmmm Buffy having dreams about mom could she be getting some psychic images along with it to help out??? Either way it was nice to see them not fighting and Buffy being a pain.

Well of course you've entertained me. And I'm starting to think that maybe the Council had something to do with Joyce's death? I mean we can't have Slayers making bargains that let notorious vampires leave town without a mark on them, right? I'm really enjoying this story, have since I started reading it. I'm sensing a more relaxed Buffy, where Spike is concerned, now. And, it's a good feeling. Not all fluff Spuffy, but a relieving of the constant tension that was ever present before. I don't think it's all to do with Spike's bagged blood feeding, either, is it? Perhaps their regular bed conversations are starting to go deeper under Buffy's skin that even she recognises? Nice, whatever it is.

I also liked the way Spike tries to explain the make-up of a vampire... sort of how I feel it is. Nice.

Altogether, a nice chapter. Thank you, pet.

Nice update. I find it really interseting that Buffy always wanted a home, where she was loved, and now she has a place she's loved, but doesn't call it home. Interesting. I really like the insight here, and I appreciate the update.

I do hope we revisit that dream of Buffy's. I bet there are some helpful details in there somewhere. And Joyce and Spike's little agreement is awfully reminiscent of the one in "Becoming." A nod all us true fans adore. Still love them trying to figure out what to do and Buffy still adamant about all the things that she was taught, despite the fact I'm sure she knows a bit better. Great chapter, please, update soon!

Well, you manadged to keep me VERY entertained!!!! I'm starting to wonder if Harold was in on it...he appears to seem a lil shady. Poor Buffy! At least she has Spike to help her!!! Great chapter!!! As usual, great chapter. I love the details that you go into, especially how vampires retain their memory, but their humanity can be ignored, but it can be retained. Their interaction is almost pleasant! It might be a breakthrough. It was nice to see what Joyce's death was like for a 4 year old Buffy and how lonely her life was after, even with Harold. Hopefully it gives Spike a little insight into Buffy's independent spirit. She's been her only sense of true comfort for so long, it'll probably take her some time to truly open up. Thanks for the update, can't wait to see more.
