Even though when I first read this fic, I didn't think it needed revision, I'm interested to see what you change, so I'll keep reading it, and any other fics you decide to revise. Particularly can't wait for the revised "Secrets of the Heart" which is one of my favorite fics of yours! Take care, C ; )

Even knowing a little what's going to happen, I still get all giddy at the spuffy interactions. The changes are definitely noticeable, and I'm loving that there's more Dawn in here. I enjoy stories where she's not a total bitch. Read too many of those. Keep it up!

So if this a rewritten story, why not post it all at once? You already have all the chapters completed. Why subject your readers to a piecemeal chapter by chapter posting? Unless you crave the reviews? I remember this story having a very favorable reception the first time around, I don't think it would be any different with revisions. Just a comment from a reader who's wondering if you're trying to yank our chains for more reviews.... After all we've read this before and commented well on your work.

Author's Response: The reason I post my fics a chapter at a time, is because I get a lot of suggestions from the reviews. If I feel like I redeemed Spike, but several readers don't- I like to add in a few things to get us all on the same page. I rewrite nearly all of my chapters for every story before I post. And this actually wasn't that well-received the first time around- it had some really good reviews, but others felt that even though Spike was redeemed, he didn't exactly crawl out of the hole he dug for himself- I want to make sure and correct that, this time around. I love reviews, but I don't post my stories based on how many I can get- I post them to improve on them.

Interesting. I'm glad you rewrote it before I got very far reading the original. I had started it months ago but had too many stories going at once and set it aside to read later. Worked out well then. Can't wait to see what you've done with it. :-)

Wow! I read the original version, and I loved it. The extra details and the slight change in dialogue has made it great. Can't wait to read the other changes. Do you have anything new in the works?

OK, so no matter how many times I've read this story (and, yes, it's been a few times), I still love it. I can not wait to see what you have planned for the new and improved version. Can't wait for more
