Gahhhh, now I'm finally all caught up, it's just not enough. You have an incredibly original story here and Ic an't wait to read more of it--not to mention Cordy's relief when she finds out Xander isn't bound to Buffy for eternity. Bravo.

I'm glad Spike did risk it and stepped in the circle! Giles is right: despite what he wanted.. a decision regarding his Slayer’s binding had been made. Maybe that's why Spike could step into the circle. :) I'm very glad they were there in time.

Just caught up with Ch. 24 and 25, and they were great!!! Oh, I was sitting at the edge of my seat, hoping that Buffy would be rescued on time....and really praying that Spike would kick some major butt! LOVED IT!!! Great job, and I can't wait for Ch. 26.

Yay - update :-D Very thrilling chapter! Oh my oh my... Time is running out! The riitual has started! Well, I'm glad that Xander isn't there - only Spike. He'll have to step in for Xander - I hope. The thought of Xander marrying Buffy *shudder* I don't like that thought. Xander's girlfriend doesn't like it, too :-D So I'm looking forward to read the next chapter

I so hope Xander is totally humiliated when he tries to claim Buffy. God what a prat he is how could he ever think he could be a match for the slayer. And the way he dropped Cordy, I remember how he snubbed her after she tried to make up with him in the show. I hope she doesn't forgive too easily. Can't wait for more.

Very exciting chapter. Loved it, except for the idea that Xander would be marrying Buffy. I think just a match would have been enough to set the fire though. The flamethrower seemed kind of unnecessary for a fuel drenched building.
