Just to confirm, have you updated or changed the story at all or is this as you originally wrote it back in 2002?
One thing from an earlier chapter just popped into mind. The "Buffy" guides did the memory invasion on both Angel and Spike, yet the one guide said it only worked on souled beings. At this point in S6, Spike was still unsouled. Just an oversight or a little something special from his extra-special demon?
Author's Response: The memory invasion was on both but ony Angel relives and feels the past, while Spike can only view and recal.
Angel is forced to relive the agony of his previous personas. Spike only watches himself be an ass. It is subtle, but different.
