Yes! Go Buffy punching that creep Angelus in the face! He soooo had that one coming! Spike and Buffy are really sweet in this chapter - defending each other and whatnot. I can only hope that Dru and Angelus don't do something to mess things up at Prom! Anyway, great story and I can't wait to read more :)

i really got the meaning from the start... since you two are such good writers, it's really not that hard to understand... anyway, i'm happy that buffy's finally trusting spike again... love this update.. i hope the angelus problem can be solved... he's really just becoming annoying.. with the sad-excuse-for-a-horror-movie like phone call.. this story is really frustrating sometimes, and it's not because Spike hasn't done some great thing to redeem himself... it's because his actions and thoughts have never been explained. Obviously, he broke up with Buffy because he was attracted to Dru, but what I'd really like to know is what attracted him to Dru- and what decided him that he wanted Buffy again? It couldn't have been purely physical or I doubt he would have stayed with her for a year- but there is really nothing about their relationship, though we've got tons on Buffy and Angelus. I really like seeing Buffy and Spike learning to get along again and we're seeing a lot about why Buffy is choosing Spike again, but why is Spike choosing Buffy? And why did he need the break? I'm not looking for a 'good reason' but he had to have been thinking SOMETHING.

i loved this update and i cant wait for more and i belive that she will in time forgive william and i hope that they try o get back together

It's an interesting concept for sure, and in response to the authors note. Yeah it does sort of make you go "alas no!, spike would never do that to buffy". but i really liked that you're trying to create a sense of realism within the story, cause yeah that stuff does happen all the time. Everyone likes a good happily ever after, but i prefer stories with some grit to them. I think you're doing a great job of it. Take care

OMG Great chapter! I love this fic, in it's entirety. Although at the beginning I wondered why Spike would dump Buffy, I understand what you guys are doing with this fic! And to me cheating is in the eye of the beholder.....you dont' have to sleep/have sex to cheat....by taking Buffy to the dance, an choosing another girl over your date in front of your classmates to me is cheating.....for he had to have been thinking impure thoughts of another girl to decide to break it off like that with someone he'd been dating for 3 years. If it was me I would count it as my boyfriend cheated on me....but then that's just me.

I completely agree with you A/N . I know I've said something similar to this before in a review, but I know of at least 2 relationships which never would have worked if the people hadn't broken up then, taken a year or so and then gotten back together later. They just needed the persepective. And one of them was 5 weeks before their wedding. They did get back together over a year later and have no been happily married for 10 years, so it's not crazy. Also, Spike didn't exactly cheat on Buffy. Not that it makes what he did ok, but it wasn't really cheating. He broke up with her to be with someone else. Yes it hurts, it sucks, but it's about the forgiving just like you said. I think plotwise they're ready to get back together. Me and my personal baggage are silently encouraging Buffy to hld out a little longer. GREAT STORY especially for a high school fic!
