Ah the stifling life of the wealthy Victorian gent - I'd be on opium too. it's sweet how Buffy is bringing out William's courage.

So awkward and shy he is, yet somehow she brings the inner Spike out of him. I can't wait to see more. Update soon.

This is off to an intriguing start. Though I have to say that three feet is nothing to sneeze at for someone riding a horse for the second time! I think baby beginner is at 18 inches, and you usually do gymnastics first ... anyway, I digress.

I like that William's finding freeness in his illness. Though I'm not so sure that his interactions with Buffy will be entirely free of consequence. Looking forward to more!

Author's Response: I agree with you completely in regards to the jumping. The highest I've ever jumped is 2'6 (my horses are older and can't be asked for more than that) and I'm pretty proud of it. That line just demonstrates William's thought processes at this point. He thinks Buffy is a hallucination, and he's accustomed to seeing hunters jump much higher, so her feats don't seem impressive. Once he realizes she's a real woman and not a figment of his imagination, things will most likely change in that regard. But I'm glad you're enjoying the story so far. Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review. :)

I really have no idea how Buffy came to be in William's time or why. I am sure it will be explained. I hope that William won't become too dependent on his medicine. thanks for the update.
